He smiled faintly, just one corner of his mouth quirking up, and Bonnie realized with a thrill that it was a genuine smile, not the flashy one he put on for all sorts of reasons. This was just for her, and his eyes had gone soft and velvety for her, too.

everything i read during 2017:
↳ “she was with her flying companion - her playmate. the one who was sacred to her, who was the other half of the mysteries of life for her. the one who would always be there for her, helping her, watching her back, picking her up when she fell down, listening to her stories - no matter how many times she told them. loving her even when she was stupid. understanding her without words. being inside the innermost circle in her mind. her soulmate.”

‘Everyone was staring at her-and that was fine. She looked great and she knew it. Hands on her hips, red hair tumbling over her shoulders and down her back, fine boned face tipped to the sky-yeah she looked good. Tall and proud and fierce…and very beautiful. She was Jez Redfern, the huntress’ -huntress page 2
‘Finally she whipped out a pocket mirror and examined her face critically. The girl who looked back didn’t much resemble the wild, laughing huntress who had leaped from tree to tree in Muir Woods. Oh, the features were the same; the height of the cheekbone, the curve of chin. They had even fined out a bit because she was a year older. The red flag of hair was the same too, although now it was pulled back in an attempt to tame its fiery disorder. The difference was in the expression, which was sadder and wiser than Jez had ever imagined she could be, and in the eyes. The eyes weren’t as silvery as they had been, not as dangerously beautiful.

The Secret Circle Character Aesthetics {1/?} ⟴ Diana Meade
“As beautiful as the girl was in the last print was, Diana was more beautiful. With hair that indescribable color, like sunlight and moonlight woven together, and a face like a flower, and eyes like green jewels, Diana resembled something from a fairy tale or legend more than a real person.”
