👑: You can’t spend the night here. You’re welcome to find other accommodations tomorrow, but for tonight you’ll stay with me.

(She starts walking away. You follow.)

(She leads you along a trail, which turns into a path, into a road. And soon you’re headed to a town.)

(You follow her to a house. She opens the door and leads you in.)

👑: A stranger I met at the beach.

❔2: Well, they must be hungry. Would they care for some—

(Sleeping lets you not exist, and you’d rather do anything than exist in this house with her.)

(Don’t wait for an answer. Go up the stairs, down the hall, last door on the left.)

(Closing the door behind you, you finally breathe. Stars, it feels like you haven’t been breathing this entire time.)

(You look around the room, taking in its contents. Closet, bed, dresser. A big rug.)

(Oh, a full-body mirror. You’ve never had the opportunity to use one of these before. Ignoring the one in the House, and you looked in that one a lot. But you’d rather not think about that.)

(You’d rather not think about anything from the loops.)

(…You look in the mirror.)

(You pull your cloak back, hitching it up to your shoulder.)

(Frantically, desperately, you fling off your cloak, your shirt, everything. You can’t, you can’t- You have to know-)
