Before I successfully released over 70 pounds, I had tried to lose weight a thousand times. 🌱 I thought I needed to restrict myself and eat crazy tiny portions. 🌱 So, on all of my attempts, that's what I did: eat so little, that I ended up incredibly hungry by the end of the day. So hungry, that overeating at my next meal was inevitable. 🌱 Of course that overeating would make me feel ashamed and terrible about myself. To make up for it, I thought I needed to restrict myself the next day even more. 🌱 I was stuck in an endless cycle of overeating and restricting. 🌱 It was miserable, and I wanted nothing more than to get out of this cycle. 🌱 And then I read about a whole, raw plant food diet. It sounded crazy to me at the time, but I was desperate so I decided to give it a try. 🌱 And I'm not kidding when I say it changed my life! 🌱 Eating whole, raw plant foods allowed me to get back in tune with my body's true hunger signals and cues of satisfaction.
