#love leaning into hc phil doing a lot of stuff for practical reasons bc mans is a survivalist above everything else

What hobbies do you reckon h!phil picks up? I've always liked the hc that he learns to tattoo and five himself tattoos of memorable moments/ the deities / whatever chat bullies him into that week

this ask unintentionally gets a Little into hobbies he has, but yes i have many many more things i think he enjoys that aren’t Exclusively art things !!! :D

off the top of my head..

i do think he enjoys pressing flowers just for the hell of it. it’s a good way to remember what bloomed in previous season, and also .. it’s pretty. mans enjoys a good flower (and also occasionally presses them for the purpose of giving them to kristin).

and he Also enjoys gardening. it’s definitely something i extend to All versions of phil because i think it’s a soothing activity for him. i just can’t resist. and in hardcore, he does it for practical reasons along with the benefits of it being a very grounding activity. ya know, small reminders that he is capable of interacting with the world type beat.

and i think he does Tons of experiments! i’ve talked about it a little before, but because hc phil pretty much teaches himself everything he knows about this world… he’s gotta do Lots of experimenting. he would consider it a hobby if asked. the experiments range from messing with plants to see what Other stuff he can make to stupid shit like how fast can he launch himself into the air with a trident under different circumstances.

it’s Again something that has more Practical uses for him because while obviously he enjoys the things he does, i don’t think he would waste time on something that doesn’t have as Many uses.

oooh! i Do enjoy that hc that he learned how to tattoo on himself!! personally i think he’d give himself a tattoo for his favorite goddess out there, kristin :] i’m not entirely Sure what it’d look like, but there’d be wither roses in the design somewhere.

anddd other tattoos i like for him are 1) gladiolus flowers, 2) a crow he definitely got bullied into adding, 3) a gapple that he got bullied For adding (which he later added the words “gapple gang” to), 4) a growing collection of tattoos that represent each build he uncovers that is slowly turning into an entire sleeve of them, and 5) whichever constellation is the most visible from his base.

but yesyes!! lots of hobbies for this guy :D i could probably spend wayyyyy too much time talking about all the different things i think he gets up to when he’s not uncovering builds and fixing up machines tbh
