I had a sub in chemistry today and we were just supposed to answer some questions independently so he was just there to make sure nobody kills anyone. A little while into class I heard the opening notes of Beetlejuice (the musical) and was trying to find who was listening to it.

It was the sub (who’s scribbled out for privacy). I spent like an hour silently enjoying it and eventually everyone was done with the assignment and were just talking. I mentioned that I’m sewing a Victorian dress and mentioned that the ensemble’s costumes in Beetlejuice at the beginning have a Victorian vibe. He said I should ask the theater people if we can do the show, and I said that I wasn’t sure if that would be allowed because it might be too inappropriate for a school. Although another school in the district did Heathers the musical a while back. (Implying with the tone and context that Heathers is inappropriate) He then walks back to his desk and STARTS PLAYING HEATHERS ALOUD ON THE SCHOOL MONITORED COMPUTER.

I am mortified. I desperately hope he didn’t listen to the whole thing. Dead Girl Walking, Blue, Candy Store, Big Fun. Especially in public. Mr. Random Sub I’m very sorry, this wasn’t my intent
