Love, Death & Robots Episode 6: When The Yogurt Took Over

Love, Death & Robots is a Netflix animated series by world-class animation creators that brings captivating stories to real life in the form of a unique and visceral viewing experience. In the said episode I watched, a scientist accidentally breeds super-intelligent yogurt; it soon hungers for world domination. People became underdogs the yogurt by following what they say or the said place will take over by the yogurts. After yogurt made their place progressive, people now attach and depend on the yogurt on how to survive. What if the yogurt was gone in the first place, how will the people do their next move after the yogurt is gone from the earth?

From what I have seen from that said episode, people depend on something that has power in order to survive. Depending on others can sometimes be a parasitic trait of a human. Emotional dependency occurs when we rely on others to feel happy, which can lead to dangerous consequences that can affect our peace of mind and well-being.  If a person who you depend on in life fails to give you what you need, it may affect you or the relationship towards the person you depend on. There is nothing wrong about relying on others but in order to survive in this world sometimes you must do things alone. Also, it's true saying that “no man’s an island”, because what if you’re sick, an infant, a child, who will take care of you? Being dependent and independent in this world has pro’s and con’s and it differs on people’s perspectives. 

After watching it, thinking that relying too much can cause certain issues, which made me want to do things on my own. Maturing is a thing that people develop through time and one of its factors is being independent. Me, being independent in life is something that I can’t clearly imagine before but as I grow, I think that making a decision on my own that leads me in a good path makes me a different version of myself. It inspires me to create good decisions in life and things that have a positive effect on me.
