nope it's hufflepuff
#tommy's ambition is driven by fear and a desire for safety and acceptance and family#also the violence only happened after the war. tommy at whatever age it is kids get enforced into magic school is hufflepuff#loyalty. strong sense of justice and injustice. patience. propensity for hard work#also leadership but in the thick of herdbonding#ie there is no leader without the herd's acceptance of that leader#and the complete lack of ego ok: like a gryph is brave but still has major ego#hufflepuff entirely about 'everyone does it together'#but you know the concept of school groups forming the entirety of a person's sense of self and personality is flawed anyway XD#i just thought it was funny because every time I see it I'm like#slytherin just does not fit kid tommy. a communist who wanted to change the world and marry the daughter of immigrants#who volunteered for the war with his family because 1) he believed in it? 2) he couldn't break up the family? 3) for money for the family?#....anyway
