Sanji would tell Ussop that he "wished Ussop was a girl" at a random tender moment, hold his cheek a little and rub his thumb slowly over his cheekbone and Ussop would give him the most strained smile imaginable and try to laugh it off. But it ended up being too awkward after Sanji more or less confessing but no homoing at the last moment, so he would make up an excuse to go to the girls' room to rant at Nami about it for 3 hours. Ussop in Robin's arms being fed chocolate cake that Sanji made and having his back rubbed (Robin the post heartbreak support mvp), extremely upset like "WHO THE FUCK SAYS THAT TO PEOPLE NAMI? WHO DOES THIS?" while Nami is nodding along emphatically and plotting ways to introduce Sanji to the concept of bisexuality.

Sanji for lack of better candidates would try to vent about this to Zoro, and Zoro would just take a look at him and dryly say: "Yeah that was gay as shit Curly. Either commit to the gay or stop talking to Ussop like that." (The or I will kill u for playing with Ussop's feelings was implied.) And that's how Sanji starts his sexuality journey.

I have a Lusan fic with a similar prompt and I love it every time no matter the ship because internalized homophobia with Sanji my beloved. That being said, I think I like this better. Wayyyy better with Sanuso. Usopp panicking over it and Sanji being oh so poetic and gay. And Usopp complaining to the girls and Zoro making Sanji see that he's acting a lil bit like a jerk if he doesn't actually plan to confess to Usopp and be serious with him.

By the way. Little thing. Haha. Hahaha. Can I- Can I- Can I write this- Can I- Pleaseplease? If you want to do it yourself because it's an AMAZING prompt, please go for it!!!!! (You're legally obligated to tag me if you do because I want to read it tho). But- But if you don't plan doing anything with this I could just take it. And write it someday when I have the time. Idk.
