"i think you're right on that front. it's probably why i hardly ever get good sleep anymore since my body is just hopped up on caffeine all the time." a giggle hides behind the rim of her mug though the level of joy she expresses is clear as can be with how the rest of her features light up. "ooh, do you prefer less espresso and just straight coffee then? or is it the lack of foam that makes it taste better? sometimes drinks in their rawest form with just a splash of milk is all you need. i think that's why i like breakfast teas a lot."

colour alix entirely fascinated. she knows she should just make her move and deal the final blow but it feels so unsatisfying like this. instead of lunging for her opportunity, her head tilts in curiosity. "are you okay?" she asks, dismissing the order and moving closer. she actually manages to sound concerned and it isn't feigned. "you were together, right? kinda shitty to just leave you out here on your own to fend for yourself..." there's an air of sympathy, as if she isn't the thing that avery is fending herself off from.
