I was fighting for my life matting my artwork for this student show coming up, and considering I’ve never done matted fine artwork before….nice:

This show means a lot to me because one year ago today I was in the exhibition looking at everyone’s work thinking to myself “next year, I’ll do it.” And I did. It’s so funny being a “returning adult student” but like, for real, in my early 20s I never put myself fully into anything and therefore half assed work as a result, anything to just get by.

I have never shown my work at this capacity, or let alone be proud of what I’ve done in school, but the past few years have taught me that I do have what it takes and sometimes I need to kick my own fucking ass to get there. A promise to myself that I actually kept; it’s inspiring.

Lots of starts and stops, a lot of doubting myself, but here’s to…putting myself out there.

Mike in the territories is such a joy to watch. Once I fully get into the US Express/WWF era, I need to really compare the style of wrestling that he does there vs Carolinas/Florida. He was so incredibly good at seamlessly blending amateur and pro styles; grappling on the mat with an opponent then hitting em with an airplane spin. He's a good boy, Mr. Bob Caudle.

#lux.sys #amazing technician; it makes me wonder if mike agreed to shoot with some opponents before their matches.#because there's definitely some squash/jobber matches with Mike where he either busts out the airplane spin in 3 minutes #vs catch-ing for a couple of minutes and then airplane spin #you see this less and less when he becomes IRS; still a great technician but a bit more brutish.#even in the varisty club- which is ironic because you think he'd be doing more amateur moves but instead he channels his inner bully #would love for the mike gang to chime in with their two cents

Genuinely trying to ramp up cardiovascular training and so far I’ve been able to hit heart rate zone 4 of my max threshold. Therefore, I’m nicknaming anything zone 4 and above as the Rotundo zone because I’m sweating my fucking ass off.
