Inspirada em viagens para a Argentina, Lydia Courteille descobriu a rodocrosita – mineral constituído por carbonato de manganês, com composição química MnCO₃. Descoberta em Cavnic, Maramureş, Roménia, em 1813. O seu nome deriva da palavra grega para cor-de-rosa. Também conhecida como ‘Rosa Del Inca’, a pedra evoca a lenda de um casal que viveu um amor proibido, no qual os corpos foram encontrados como uma pedra no qual o sangue lembrava pétalas.

Sobre a designer

Ao lado da Place Vendome na rua Saint Honoré, em Paris, uma pequena loja reúne colecionadores, especialistas e curiosos em descobrir o mundo de raridades de Lydia Courteille. Transitando pelo contemporâneo e pelo antigo, o maximalismo está presente nas criações mais ousadas da Alta Joalheria.
