Then, amongst the sickeningly cheesy mist.... a figure emerges.
A figure whose body is surrounded by a radiant, holy glow; whose garments are absent of any and all impurities in the world.
Yet..... those eyes.
It's as if those sorrowful eyes hold milleniums of regret within their gaze.
Regrets so powerful as to be capable of draining any and all strength from oneself, thus... deeming the holder incapable to even look back at anyone in the eye.

it's basically a hypothetical epilogue/AU where she personally escorts maddy to heaven and accompanies him during the journey to get there
(also i assume rat god can take whatever form she wants so she went for a familiar look with a touch of 'regretful desire for forgiveness')
