i bring to my very special, still in progress, everyone lived happily ever after au where the dance didn't happen. i do have a draft of little maegara snippets, dunno if you guys want me to post it but it exists!

if there was anyone that aerin loved the most in this world, it was his mother. Sure, his father was great, he was strong, he was loving and he fervently protective but his mother had always been the source of such love for him.

he remembered days spent with his head in her lap as she ran her fingers through his hair softly, singing him to sleep. he remembered her shining smile so vividly. 'there was never a day I didn't love you.' she had once told him, her eyes so soft that it hurt.

aerin had always felt his heart ache at the thought, his mother was filled with so much love, for him, for his father, for her family. and yet, he feared her disappointment at his confession that he wanted to be a scholar and not a prince, not a knight or a dragonrider.

maegara targaryen-hightower had smiled at her son, her soft hand taking his hands in hers. He was her pride and joy, her beloved child. "You can be whatever you want, you are not bound by blood. I only hope that you choose a path that brings you infinite happiness like mine brought me."

"because of father?" aerin asks, one brown and one purple eyes staring up at his mother before she smiled, hearing the calls of her father, his grandfather and her beloved husband.

"of course one of the happiest points was meeting your father but knowing that i was pregnant with you made me happier than anything else. if I had to suffer a lifetime of torment with the simple knowledge that i would get to hold you in my arms once again, then it would all be worth it, my beloved aerin. after all, that's what love is. despite all else, the good, the bad, choosing that person against all odds."

"sounds like a fairytail."

"Your father wishes it was a fairytale." the irritated voice of prince daemon spoke and maegara laughed.

Alicent is the type of yandere mother who gives Maegara a chastity ring when she is little (Viserys was very okay with the gift of the ring), but obviously Maegara doesn't know what the ring means

so when he and maegara fuck for the first time (i feel like he would take this privilege as his "twin"), aegon literally takes the ring (or maegara gives it to him) and aegon just wears the ring on a necklace as a trophy

anyways, back to our scheduled maegara/naerys talk. i think.... getting maegara a chastity ring is such an alicent thing and its so funny because its one of the only times where viserys and alicent agree on something.

viserys and alicent have very different parenting styles when it comes to raising maegara but they both absolutely forbid boys.

maegara has no idea that it's a chastity ring but aegon does and he takes such joy in taking it from her and wearing it like a trophy when he takes her virginity. he laugh manically while maegara freaks out that it was a chastity ring and alicent freaks out over her beloved precious innocent maegara losing her chastity, she literally has to be held back from choking out her own son.

its best to say viserys doesn't know. daemon and rhaenyra go absolutely insane when they find out though.

Hmm 🤔 I wonder, would Naerys or Maegara snap at Targaryens? I watched Daenerys’s dragons and sometimes they would roar at her. So would Naerys or Maegara do the same? I know they probably won’t, but just imagine. Maegara or Naerys got frustrated and they snapped at their family, yelling at them with fire in their hands that looks like they are going to attack, but they calmed down and left in order not to hurt anyone and let out their frustration. Targaryens with dragons, but they DON’T control them. I guess there were accidents when a dragon would attack a Targaryen.

How would Yandere platonic Conquerors react to see Maegara or Naerys snap at them (with anger in their eyes and fire in their hands and look like they are going to attack them but they don’t) then Naerys or Maegara leaves them to let out their frustration? How would they react?

Also how would Yandere Hightowers, Velaryons and Targaryens react to it as well?

The training ground would be destroyed after Maegara or Naerys let out their frustration.

Also they would probably yell “LEAVE ME ALONE!” or something like that, just a thought

for the conquerors, I think visenya would be incredibly impressed when it's not directed at her, she'd allow them to calm down before going to talk about what made them so upset.

aegon, i think, would be very stern about how they can't act that way when he is their father and king. he'd force them to apologize before trying to talk to them about why they acted that way. they may or may not give in, depending on how upset they are.

rhaenys would be the most sympathetic, she'd try to soothe them immediately, sitting besides them and comforting them. rhaenys would definitely be patient enough to comfort them as they try to calm down and understand by they would feel so overwhelmed and upset.

for the hightowers, i think alicent would be shocked by the outburst before quickly trying to soothe her beloved child, she's definitely hold them close, run her hands through their hair and even going as far as humming a tune her mother used to sing to her when she was upset. she'd definitely be adept at calming them down. she'd make attempts to understand why they were so upset and try to find solutions to help them.

otto on the other hand, would find the root of the problem immediately, he'd immediately calm them down, speaking to them with a calm voice and holding them gently as he soothes them. i think he'd be really good at calming down stressful situations. he'd make sure whatever made them so stressed and frustrated would never occur ever again.

for the targaryens, they're used to sometimes the outbursts from their dragons, even if they ride dragons and bond with them, they'll never fully control their dragons. maegara.naerys would be within the same wavelength, they might have been taken in by the targaryens as their child but that doesn't take away the fact that they're still a dragon, just in human form.

viserys would hurry to distract them from their anger, trying to desperately calm them down and soothe their frustrations. he'd order servants to brings all of their favorite things.

rhaenyra, i think, would be the best one besides alicent to calm them down. she'd refuse to step away or abandon them even in their anger. she doesn't attempt to dissuade her anger or even diminish it. it's okay to be angry, she'd tell them, her hand through their hair, it's okay to be frustrated and overwhelmed but don't let it fester. I'm right here, tell me what ails you, my beloved child. rhaenyra would successfully calm them down and hold them close as they vent about their frustrations to her.

daemon honestly doesn't even attempt to calm them. his advice is just "if something angers you, just get rid of it" like hello? 911? daemon doesn't see their anger as a bad thing and doesn't dissuade it or try to calm them down. he'll only start to soothe them if they start crying out of pure anger/frustration. daemon sees anger as a natural thing that's better to get out of their system but he'll stay nearby and help them find ways to help manage their anger.

the velaryons are in the same stretch as the targaryens but in a different wavelength.

i think vaemond, corlys, and rhaenys would be used to anger, prone to it themselves and would be very adept and calming them down. I think rhaenys would clue in early and soothe their anger in advance, calming them down and taking them out to the sea to calm down, helping them search for shells and talking to them as they dip their feet in the water.

laena and laenor would also take them to the sea/beach to help them calm down. they wouldn't take offense to being yelled at, they try to understand things from naerys/maegara's point of view. i think laena would make sure to look out for them constantly afterwards while laenor would stick to their sides until he's certail their anger is completely gone.

bonus:

aegon ii would definitely flinch away from the yell but he sees how overwhelmed they are and as their self-proclaimed closest companion, he'd use the methods he uses on himself when he gets frustrated to help them. he'd stay close by and refuse to leave them.

aemond on the other hand doesn't even flinch as he refuses to leave, he'll get close to them and calmly tells them to calm down which only angers them further but when he gently touches their arms, they mostl likely burst into tears and aemond goes on guard dog mode, growling at everyone that comes near as he calms them down.

helaena doesn't flinch, she doesn't even breathe. she gets even closer and grabs their hand as she guides them to sit down. its okay, she'll tell them, still holding their hand, i'll always be here for you. you'll be okay. helaena does nothing but wrap her arms around them as they cry in her shoulder.

jace and luke would both be shocked, never having seen naerys/maegara yell before but jace recovers faster than luke does, quickly calming them down, distracting them from their anger by telling them stories or even telling them about their day. when they're calm he'll order the servant to bring their favorite drink as he refuses to leave their side.

i think luke would give naerys/maegara something he found that brings him happiness/calms him down with the justification that it might help them.
