Training
@mandoslore @ithinkwehitametaphor
Ellia sat back in Din’s new ship, a refurbished N1 Naboo star fighter. Surprisingly, Pelli managed to fit an extra seat without sacrificing anything mechanical or speed wise. It wasn’t spacious like the Razor Crest, but there was a place for her to store her bag, and it got you to your destination faster. Ellia didn’t know what Din would do if he had to pick up a bounty for credits.
Oh, Din. Even though he had the helmet on, she could tell he was surprised that both she and Grogu came back from training with Luke. While learning from another teacher was beneficial in her eyes, she could see that they weren’t going to agree when it came to lesson plans. Luke was trained by members of the old Jedi Council, including their faults, while she had learned of the Gray Jedi, which was a freer path to follow. She would figure things out on her own, and maybe even pass on what she knew to Grogu.
The little green guy was fast asleep in the refurbished droid carrier, with a whole ceiling of stars above him. For the first time, since she and Grogu left Din to train with Skywalker, Ellia felt at peace. And she wanted to stay this way.
“Were you able to find anyone from your covert?” She softly asked Din from her seat behind him. They hadn’t spoken much since they left Tatooine.

“What makes you think I’m bored Princess?”
Leia rolled her eyes before rubbing her temple. “God you sound just like Han used to,” she grumbled. When this Mandalorian has appeared, she wasn’t sure what any of them were in for. Sometimes she wished she had left him behind. But here they were, teamed up. If she didn’t kill him for being irritating.
“I suppose I can’t tell by your face. But you get extra irritating when you’re bored.”

@mandoslore liked for The Child! Hope you can work with this, if not let me know and we can plot something different together :)
You’re making fun of me! The Child thought to himself, narrowing his eyes as he looked up at Din for a moment, to then turn away with a huff as he sat down.

Bounty (closed, post TROS)
Ben barely survived the final clash with Palpatine. Rey thought he was dead for now, and with her - the majority of the Galaxy. And he liked it that way.
But he also knew some people were aware of his ruse. Some people who would not forgive him the atrocities he committed, no matter how much he regretted them. And he knew some of those people had enough means to put a bounty on his head.
He didn’t mind. He could keep his head low, for once in his life. It was nice, actually, to be free of the pain and of the weight of destiny on his shoulders.
But not free of intruders. He was meditating when he felt a presence in his isolated hut.
“Hello,” he said, without opening his eyes. “I do hope you have not come here to get killed?”

The armor caught the kicks and the Mandalorian continued to calmly tie up the former general’s hands. “I can bring you in hot or I can bring you in cold.”
The Mandalorian was surprisingly strong and Hux couldn’t fight him with his hands behind his back. His kicks did nothing. “No! I can pay you more what they offer! You can’t take me there, they’ll kill me!” He wasn’t sure which party had put a bounty on him, the New Republic or the First Order, but he knew either would want him dead.

*pauses to think*
"I like to think I'm a decent judge of character, but I never manage to not get into trouble. And 90% of the time, that was often thanks to the people that I'd end up hanging out with. Maybe it's because I believed in the good of people, even if they were obviously tryin' to con me or wanted to take stuff from me. I thought, "There must be a reason for it," and then would think maybe I could change them? Change their mind, at least? But that rarely ever happened. Also, I got TMJ from sucking cock once." -Matt

The Search
@mandoslore
Ellia tuned the scanner, checking different frequencies for signals.
After Din was settled with a house in the Mandalorian village, Ellia went on her other tasks in the small village that was her home. Sadly, Channa informed her that there wouldn’t be any ships arriving for another month. Which meant that she couldn’t keep looking for Mandalorians for another month.
‘Well, at least I can keep myself occupied,’ she thought.
Thankfully, the library needed repainting, especially the mural honoring Jedi. When Ellia’s mother came to the planet, they had to change the mural to reflect the Jedi who truly followed the ways of the Force. Not ones who seemed so... corrupt, as her mother put it. But Ellia knew that in order to not repeat history, you have to be informed.
Looking off a book of known Jedi, she got back into her red and blue paints, filling in the color of Ashoka Tano.

The Child tilted his head and squinted slightly, trying to peek through his visor. But he couldn't make out Din's face underneath the helmet. He didn't respond to what he said and lowered his little hand again.
He seemed to cheer up noticably the moment  food was mentioned. He gave him his most innocent look when he told him to behave. But as long as Din would take him along, with the promise of food.. Everything would be alright, as far as he was concerned..

“Hey, Where Did We Go?” { Closed Starter }
The man slapped the back of his fingers on Matt's arm, getting his point across not to take this lightly as he went on, First-time newbs are given a freebie for the buy-in, but only because it’s his birthday. Just be there by midnight. One minute after, and you’re screwed, cowboy. DiMaggio’s not one for charity. It's a one and done opportunity, you got it?”
{ Four hours, 3 glasses of rum n’ coke, and 2 shots of whiskey later… }
Slipping out back from the bar, Matthew Wade Rogers, (con-artist and card shark extraordinaire) lifted his arm to check his wristwatch.
“Fuck!” He’d missed the mark by about 3 minutes. All he could think was, ‘If that fuckin’ asshole at the other side of the bar hadn’t been so goddamn distracting, I woulda made the last buy-in. Now I’ll be stuck without enough cash for a room to rent and it’s fuckin’ pouring out. SHIT! Better see if-…’
His thoughts were abruptly interrupted as that too-hot-for-his-own-good asshole, himself, happened to step out the back and appear next to him. It wasn’t so much that the son of a bitch was even super built or had a ton of people flockin’. It was the simplicity of the fucker. Alone. Drinkin’ hit thoughts away hour-by-hour. Those fuckin’ jeans that hugged too damn well. The leather jacket and way he had almost hypnotic, chocolate-colored eyes that kept glancin’ Matt’s way at the most random moments. And the fact that this dude had the nerve to stay there all fuckin’ night, fillin’ Matt’s head with plenty of ideas that never came to fruition. ‘Psssh… dick.’
Rogers wrapped his coat around him, arms crossing as he sniffled from the crisp air, rain coming down over the awning next to him. The dirty-blonde lifted his chin at the bastard to acknowledge him and said, “Hey. You got a smoke?” After all, it was the least he could do for makin’ his one shot at a high-stakes poker game go south.

The Vows
@mandoslore
Ellia double checked to make sure her ring for Din was in her pocket. Satisfied, she worked on straightening her outfit.
It was difficult to tell Channa that this was meant to be a small event. It was even more difficult to tell her that she wasn’t wearing a dress. This was a day the two had planned since they were little. They even went to the matchmaker like all young girls in the village did. However, Ellia’s visit to the matchmaker ended in an accidental fire and the woman telling her that she would make a terrible bride and never find anyone. When Channa and Ellia went back in the planning process, if anything to rub it in the old hag’s face, the matchmaker mocked the idea of marrying a Mandalorian. At the end of that visit, the fire certainly was not accidental.
Looking in the mirror, she adjusted her veil and outfit. Thankfully, Channa knew the best seamstress in town, and had her recreate a Jedi’s uniform in the softest, white fabrics. The veil had qualified as something new from Channa. The blue, kyber crystal pendant around her neck was something old, and something blue from her mother. The something borrowed where the white boots, again, from Channa. Ellia loved how supportive Din was about everything, and didn’t pitch a fit about all the traditions she offered.
“Hey,” Channa said as she opened the door to Ellia’s house. They had agreed to have the ceremony by the river at Ellia’s house, and in the snow-not the mud. The child was even in a new robe, and he cooed from Channa’s arms. “Paz is here. You ready? To start?”
“Yep. I’ll be right out,” Ellia said, and Channa went back to join the others.
Taking one last look in the mirror, Ellia adjusted her veil, grabbed her bouquet of four roses, and took one last look in the mirror.
“I love you, mom,” she whispered to the empty air, knowing her spirit was with her, and stepped out the door of her home. Seeing Din standing there, with Paz, Channa, and the child nearby, Ellia smiled and walked towards them. Never before had she been so excited, and so nervous all at once.

Hey all,
I wanted to explain my halfway disappearing act. I’m considered an “essential worker”. Not medical, but still essential. My life actually got more hectic over the last six weeks or so. I am healthy and okay. Please forgive me for being so flaky. I’m hoping that things even out a little soon.

Chance Meeting
@mandoslore
Ellia wandered the marketplace of Battuu. She had been wandering the galaxy for quite some time, in search of Mandalorians. Of course, she still had to watch her back. Years ago, she was quite a target for bounty hunters. Now that the New Republic gave her home planet aid, the bounty was called off. Ellia even carried copies of pardons so that if she were to face another hunter, as news travelled slow in the galaxy, she could get out of trouble.
Coming up to a fryer’s booth, she eyed the various fried meats. Hearing a cooing sound, she looked down and spied a small, green, big eared child. Chuckling, she watched as the child was trying to use the Force to bring a fried frog on a skewer down from the shelf.
“Hey! Get back, thief!” The shopkeeper came storming over, his loud booming voice startling the child.
“You will lower your voice,” Ellia told the man, with a wave of her hand.
“I... will lower my voice,” the man said, his voice quieter.
“You will accept my payment and focus on your other customers,” Ellia said and handed the man a few credits, no where near enough to cover the food’s price.
“I will accept your payment and focus on my other customers,” the man replied, blindly taking the credits and turning around.
Giving a knowing wink to the child, she grabbed two frogs and gave them to the youngling, and then left the stall. The child then began to chew on one of them, barely able to stand up straight with the weight of the food.
