Capítulo 39 - Provas e Adivinhações

Vejo Charlotte entrar no estabelecimento de Ally segurando seu computador, a mulher gentilmente acena e sorri para todos enquanto caminhava em nossa direção. Me levanto para recepcioná-la melhor, dou um abraço e puxo a cadeira para que ela possa se sentar.

- Cadê a Camila? - questiona curiosa.

- Ficou ocupada com uma coisa no banco, mas deve estar chegando. - falo despreocupada.

Confesso que agora que Camila parecia tão empolgada quanto eu para as escolhas de detalhes da festa do casamento, eu me sentia muito mais ansiosa pelo grande evento. Charlotte estava sendo de grande ajuda, ela nos escutava bastante e fazia questão de apenas dar sugestões que achava realmente necessárias.

- A data está se aproximando. - fala animada e eu sinto um enorme frio na boca do estômago.

- Eu sei, ainda nem consigo acreditar. - passo a mão no cabelo - É surreal.

- Mas é animador, não acha? - abre o computador.

- Sim. - mordo meu lábio inferior - Eu lembro quando eu estava no colegial, meus pais fizeram esse jantar em casa para que eu pudesse apresentar Camila formalmente como minha namorada, quando ela foi embora depois do jantar, minha mãe me olhou e disse “Você ainda vai casar com ela”. - Charlotte ri e eu sorrio.

- E olha só onde estamos. Acho que sua mãe leva muito a sério essa coisa do “eu avisei”. - começo a rir, assentindo com a cabeça.

- Você não faz ideia.

A pessoa que mais estava ansiosa para o casamento depois de Camila e eu, era a minha mãe, a mulher estava acompanhando cada detalhe dos detalhes do evento e fazia questão de falar sobre isso com todos. Todos os seus vizinhos sabiam que eu ia me casar, assim como todas as pessoas que trabalhavam com ela, seus alunos e cada integrante da família (até o que não haviam sido convidados por não serem parentes próximos).

Esperamos minha noiva por longos minutos, até que ela finalmente entrou no estabelecimento cheio toda esbaforida e exibindo um lindo sorriso. Camila estava maravilhosa com um vestido amarelo justo e curto. Suas pernas ficavam tentadoras naquela peça e ainda mais valorizadas graças ao salto alto.

Após pedir mil desculpas pelo atraso, Camila abraçou Charlotte e roubou um selinho meu, ocupando o assento ao meu lado. Nossa cerimonialista apresentou as provas finais dos arranjos de mesa e então fizemos a aprovação final de lugares com todas as pessoas que haviam confirmado a presença. Todos os convidados que havíamos chamado poderiam estar presentes na festa, inclusive dois amigos meus de Londres.

Mal podia esperar para ver como tudo ficaria pronto no grande dia, todo o espaço do casarão já estava sendo reajustado para o grande evento. Por termos uma grande porção de campo sem nada ocupando, os convidados poderiam estacionar os carros dentro da propriedade, o evento ocorreria entre o estacionamento improvisado e o casarão.

- Estava fazendo os ajustes finais. - Ally aparece exibindo um largo sorriso - Você deve ser Charlotte, é um prazer te conhecer, ouvi coisas maravilhosas sobre você.

- E eu sobre você. - a mulher aperta a mão de Ally - Já sei onde indicar o melhor lugar para se comer e encomendar bolo para meus futuros clientes.

- Oh, fico honrada de saber disso.

- Ally logo será sua futura cliente, isso sim, Charlotte. - Camila provoca e a baixinha a fuzila com o olhar - Ou não, né?! - encolhe os ombros.

- Bom, vamos aos negócios? - Ally questiona querendo mudar de assunto.

- Acho perfeito. - Charlotte ri divertida - Então, Ally, quais suas opções?

- Depois de ouvir minhas amigas tagarelarem por horas seguidas sobre quais eram seus bolos favoritos e ser obrigada a ouvir nossos amigos darem pitacos sobre bolos também, cheguei a três opções: um bolo tradicional de chocolate com morango que é o favorito de Camila; - duas de suas garçonetes se aproximam da nossa mesa - Abacaxi com marshmallow que é o favorito de Lauren e uma terceira opção: Red Velvet.

Olho para os pratos espalhados sobre a mesa. Charlotte, Camila e eu estávamos com um pedaço de cada sabor em nossa frente. Ally serviu os bolos com água com gás para que um sabor não influenciasse ou atrapalhasse o outro. Enquanto falava sobre os bolos, ela mostrava as duas opções de decorações de cada bolo.

O primeiro bolo que eu comi foi o meu favorito, fiz questão de comer o pedaço todo e quase pedi para repetir. Enquanto ouvia elas tagarelarem entre si, bebi a água e ataquei o favorito de Camila, torcendo a boca, não gostava tanto de bolo de chocolate para casamento. Ally mostrou a foto de um lindo bolo com chantilly por fora todo decorado maravilhosamente com pedaços de morango enquanto eu devorava o pedaço de Red Velvet.

- Amor, olha esse aqui. - Camila pega a foto do bolo vermelho de uma forma ‘naked’, não havia cobertura alguma, apenas umas flores comestíveis e açúcar de confeiteiro que fazia um lindo contraste com a massa vermelha.

- Eu amei esse também. - Charlotte é honesta - Não precisaríamos mudar absolutamente nada na decoração da mesa e o bolo saí do convencional bolo de casamento. - arqueio as sobrancelhas.

- Além do mais parece bastante com um bolo de um casamento ao ar livre. - Ally explica com um largo sorriso - E é o meu bolo o que fica ainda mais gostoso.

- Você que vai fazer?

- Você achou que eu ia deixar qualquer outro boleiro fazer o bolo de casamento das minhas melhores amigas? - arqueia as sobrancelhas, cruzando os braços - Camila, hoje você está realmente me tirando do sério. - não consigo evitar de rir.

- Por mim pode ser esse, assim não é algo que apenas eu gosto ou apenas algo que só Camila gosta. É um meio termo. - falo sinceramente - E o bolo é muito bom mesmo, inclusive se eu puder… - Camila pega o seu prato, me dando o que havia restado do seu pedaço de Red Velvet - Por isso que a gente vai se casar. Eu te amo. - beijo sua bochecha e ela ri, sendo acompanhada por Charlotte e Ally.

Enquanto estávamos ali, Charlotte aproveitou para conversar com Ally sobre o sorvete que seria servido junto com o bolo. Como o estabelecimento da minha amiga produzia o próprio sorvete, uma deliciosa bola de sorvete de creme acompanharia cada pedaço do bolo. Soubemos na conversa daquele momento que a equipe de Ally também precisaria utilizar da cozinha do casarão para que os convidados pudessem ser “melhores atendidos”.

Confirmamos tudo o que era necessário e então nos despedimos de Charlotte, ficaríamos matando tempo na mesa até Ally poder sair. Naquela noite jantaríamos na casa de Dinah, Harry e Louis iriam cozinhar uma deliciosa macarronada ao molho branco de dois queijos acompanhada com salmões grelhados com legumes. Niall e Ally haviam ficado responsáveis pelas bebidas, Camila e eu pelas entradas e Normani pelo entretenimento.

Ally repassou tudo com a sua equipe e se despediu de todos, conversando com Lane sobre todos os detalhes para fechar o estabelecimento dentre uma hora. Minha garçonete favorita havia sido promovida e agora era um dos braços direitos de Ally, ela era responsável por aquela loja, assim Ally podia focar melhor nas outras duas que estava abrindo.

Chegamos na casa de Dinah quarenta minutos depois, minha amiga estava animada e fez questão de colocar uma playlist dos anos 2000. Harry e Louis já estavam a todo vapor na cozinha e os três já haviam acabado com uma garrafa de vinho.

- Então o que falta para o grande dia? - Harry questiona interessado.

- Lauren dizer ‘sim’ para mim no altar. - Camila me abraça pelo pescoço, roubando um beijo.

- Vocês são tão grudadas, eca. - Louis resmunga e eu mostro o dedo do meio para ele, o que arranca risadas de todo mundo.

Tomlinson e eu estávamos bem próximos depois de abrirmos nosso escritório juntos, a sociedade estava ótima e dando muitos frutos. Nossos nomes já estavam bem conhecidos no meio da advocacia e já havíamos ajudado várias pessoas em casos pró-bonos, mas infelizmente não era possível ajudar todo mundo que queríamos. Além do mais tínhamos que pegar uns casos grandes e chatos para que pudéssemos representar pessoas que realmente precisavam.

Camila e Harry estavam sendo grandes parceiros em toda a situação. Além de nos ajudarem organizar o escritório, ajudavam bastante com a divulgação de nossos nomes para grandes personalidades de Miami, visto que eles tinham contatos. Camila indicava Louis e Harry me indicava, para que não houvesse “conflitos de interesses”.

- Vocês começaram sem mim? - Normani grita passando reto pela cozinha - Eu vi essas duas garrafas de vinho vazias.

- Você demorou muito. - Ally grita - E se Niall continuar demorando não vamos mais ter vinho. - ergue a taça - Irei ligar para ele... - a campainha toca no mesmo momento.

- Acho que não vai precisar. - Dinah se levanta, indo em direção a porta.

- Oi perdedores. - coloca as sacolas sobre a mesa - Oi, amor. - se curva, beijando Ally - Eu estou faminto.

- Isso não me surpreende nem um pouco. - Harry ri, despejando vinho branco no salmão.

- O cheiro está incrível.

- É uma antiga receita da minha mãe. - Louis sorri, abraçando Normani.

- Mani, o que você planejou para hoje?

- Uno e Imagem & Ação. - esboço um sorriso, noites de Imagem & Ação eram muito divertidas, eu sempre passava mal de rir com as imitações ridículas de Harry.

- Vocês nem imaginam quem está trabalhando comigo. - Niall abre sua cerveja.

- Quem? - perguntamos todos juntos.

- John Legend.

- Oh cale a boca. - Harry grita.

- Mentira! - Ally abre a boca chocada.

- Eu duvido. - Dinah e eu falamos ao mesmo tempo.

- Estou falando muito sério. Compusemos uma música juntos, duas, na verdade. O cara é um gênio, está trabalhando no próximo álbum e o meu nome vai estar lá porque eu estou ajudando a compor e produzir.

Um silêncio assustador tomou conta da cozinha/sala de jantar, todo mundo encarava Niall como se ele fosse um animal de outro planeta. Ainda era surreal que ele conhecesse tantas celebridades e depois viesse se tornar amigo deles. Como se um estalo houvesse dado na cabeça de todo mundo, todos começaram a falar alto e ao mesmo tempo fazendo todo tipo de perguntas.

Ally e Normani exigiam conhecê-lo; Dinah e Louis falavam sem parar para Niall conseguir um par de ingressos para o próximo show dele em Miami; Camila questionava sem parar sobre o que falava a música; Harry queria saber se Horan tinha conhecido Chrissy Teigen e meu grande interesse era saber porque não sabíamos daquela parceria antes.

Niall alegou que conseguiria os ingressos para nós e daria um jeito de conhecermos o cantor quando o show ocorresse. Então ele começou a falar sem parar sobre as músicas que eles haviam composto naquela tarde, eu estava completamente encantada e não conseguia parar de ouvir sobre. John Legend sempre seria um dos meus cantores favoritos, o homem era um gênio da composição.

Durante o jantar, acabamos falando sobre alguns novos detalhes do casamento, como a escolha do bolo, a divisão das mesas e quais seriam os convidados. Dinah estava resmungando porque eu havia convidado amigos que ela não gostava por ter ciúmes deles. Niall reclamou do fato de Camila convidar Alex, o seu colega de trabalho do banco que era um pé no saco. Harry parecia inconformado com o fato de Camz ter convidado sua tia Suzane e o primo Diego dela, que era um chato do cacete.
