Throughout its history, the Band has electrified audiences with its trademark style of explosive sound and colorful street theater. Originally formed as part of a theatre company, the band is well known for its fancifully costumed performers as well as its high-energy music. * Black Fire Percussion, a hip hop Drumline based out of BROOKLYN NY. Always displaying the perfect combination of showmanship and technique, Black Fire percussion has been tearing up the streets of NY for over a decade. HONK NYC takes over Jersey City by ERIK MCGREGOR Via Flickr: HONK NYC brought the music to the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza and the Headroom Bar & Social in Jersey City featuring Fanfarra Feminina Sagrada Profana from Belo Horizonte, Brasil; Seed & Feed Marching Abominable from Atlanta, GA and Demolition Brass Band from New Jersey. * Fanfarra Feminina Sagrada Profana from Belo Horizonte, Brasil, a band formed by 9 musicians who united to exalt great female icons that made or make history in the music scene. Our concept is intimately linked to feminism and aims to give voice to women through art, as well as highlighting the struggle for gender equality and emancipation of women, using music as the main instrument capable to communicate in different ways, acting transcendentally to the unification of ideas and social transformation. * Seed & Feed Marching Abominable from Atlanta, GA. Atlanta’s wildest community band, has been thrilling audiences since 1974, performing at home and on the road in festivals, on stages, and in support of community events and fundraisers of all kinds.
