Marr’vn Marz AKA Marvin the Martian

Marr’vn is a Black Martian, they are known as the brains of the Martian race. They’re the wisest and most respected of the Martian races, known to keep all the knowledge of Mars in their vast libraries and are the keepers of said library. Marr’vn was one of the higher ranked librarians, but with shut going south on Mars real fast, he fled to earth with his husband, J’onn and they became Martian Manhunter and Marvin the Martian together

Marr’vn himself is very quiet, he only speaks when necessary and if he does speak, it’s telepathically. He’s often reading Earth books, he finds them unchallenging and sometimes boring, but he’ll read what he can get and won’t complain. Definitely watches the nature channels on tv a lot, he loves learning about other planets ecosystems and animal kingdoms (his favorite earth animal are oxen, they’re just cool to him-)

Marr’vn and J’onn aren’t very physically affectionate, they much prefer quality time together as their love language for sure. Like, yes they kiss and hold hands and hug, but they save that for behind closed doors in privacy, so like even Elazar and M’gann have never seen them kiss and they live with them

But like while they’re settling in for bed, Marr’vn will be reading an art history book and laying in J’onn’s arms, who’s half falling asleep and half reading along as well, his chin resting on Marr’vn’s shoulder and arms wrapped around his waist

Okay gonna talk about Marr’vn and J’onn being Elazar’s gay alien dads cause THEM ADOPTING HIM WOULD BE SO CUTE

Like, Elazar becomes J’onn’s sidekick cause J’onn could sort of understand how his race was seen as lowly slaves, he knew of aliens on his own planet that were seen as lowly too. So J’onn would help Elazar control his anger and instead channel it into fighting villains rather than exploding and hurting everyone. But then he invited Elazar to dinner with him and his husband, and Elazar accepted cause like, he ain’t gonna pass up a free meal. But after that they all bonded really well, so they officially adopted Elazar despite him being 17 and nearly an adult

Marr’vn is also 9 ft tall, the Black Martians are the tallest race of Martians considering the anatomy of their legs. So basically it’s like they’re wearing heels all the time, except that’s just how they are. So they have very long legs that can sometimes be so long they look unproportionate, but they tend to be anywhere between 7-10 ft tall, so Marr’vn’s on the taller side

But the white glowing markings on them only happen to certain Black Martians, it was actually a genetic deformity that happened when a Black and White Martian had a child and the White Martian had a gene defect. So only those descended from that Martian have white markings, most are just solid black

Marr’vn x J’onn Stuff

They’re that really chill couple, like, you don’t even realize they’re married at first cause they don’t show affection in public and are both solely focused on the task at hand. The only reason the Justice League and Justice Society even know they’re married is because one time Marr’vn got injured in battle and J’onn flew to his aid and like gently cradled him in his arms, and everyone was all “Uhhhhh that’s a little sus.” “He’s my husband?” “H U S B A N D?!-“

You know Barry bothered the fuck out of them, asking how long they’ve been married and why they didn’t tell anybody, and they’re just all “We assumed everyone knew-“

They’re both black in their human forms, they’ll wear turtlenecks and fitted slacks, and Marr’vn wears glasses with his human disguise as well, so like them going to the store and they’re just giving off like chill grandpa vibes-

Megan living with them too cause ELAZAR HAVING A DORKY SISTER THOUGH. Like, he misses his baby sisters so like, Megan being kinda clueless and ditsy on earth terms reminds him of taking care of his little sisters

They love going to very fancy and expensive restaurants for date nights, so they’ll be all dressed up and tell Elazar to watch Megan (even though she’s technically older than him, let’s be honest, she needs a little supervision). Then at the restaurant they’re both verbally silent but are having lovely conversations telepathically

They also have a lot of museum dates, they find earth history interesting and Marr’vn is a big art history lover, so lots of art museums as well. And if there’s no new exhibit in town, they’ll stay home and read in their homes library together drinking tea, and sitting in matching chairs while holding hands
