⏺CHAPTER 139: MARY JANE⏺ Mary Ann Cox was living very close to Mary Jane, and that cold rainy night she went to the street several times. When she went through Mary Jane Kelly's flat, she heard her singing "A Violet from Mother's Grave". Later on Mary went to the street and she found George Hutchinson. Mary: Mr. Hutchinson, can you lend me sixpence? George Hutchinson: I can't, I spent all me money down to Romford. Mary: Okay... I must go and find some money. She then met a man who was carrying a small parcel in his left hand. They went to a pub first and then they went to Kelly's home. Hutchinson decided to follow them and waited outside Kelly's home for about an hour. At 3:00 am he left and he saw Mary Ann Cox going to her home again... 🔹🔹 Mary Ann Cox vivia muy cerca de Mary Jane y esa fría y lluviosa noche fue a la calle bastantes veces. Ich habe dieses Buch aus Neugier gelesen und wollte wissen, wie die Autorin das Leben dieser fünf anerkannten Opfer von Jack the Ripper beschreibt. Für meinen Thriller „Jack the Ripper und der Erbe in Görlitz“ habe ich ebenfalls viel recherchiert, um in meinen Rückblenden in die Jahre rund um 1888 so dicht wie möglich an den Fakten rund um die Opfer zu bleiben. Ich habe beim Lesen des Buches gespürt, wie wichtig der Autorin das Thema ist. Zu sehen ist dies nicht nur am Text selbst, sondern auch in ihren Anmerkungen und der umfangreichen Bibliographie. Wortgewandt beschreibt sie, und lädt den Leser ein, das Leben der Frauen kennenzulernen. Die Lücken füllte die Autorin mit Annahmen, Vermutungen oder fordert uns Lesern auf, unser Vorstellungsvermögen einzusetzen. Dem steht grundsätzlich nichts entgegen. 😉 Für mich persönlich was es eine interessante Lektüre mit etwas zu viel an möglicherweise, wahrscheinlich, vermutlich oder womöglich. Hello, my name is Mary Jane Kelly and this is my new blog! This is my first time blogging so I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm new to this technology thing, but I guess I'll give it a try. I'll stop stalling and introduce myself now.

 Well as you already know, my name is Mary Jane Kelly. I'm currently 16 and am happily married to a collier named Davies. Born in Limerick, Ireland  1863, I have 6 brothers and 1 sister. My father worked in an iron works in Carnarvonshire, while my mother stayed home to tend to us kids. When I was younger, my family moved to Wales, which is where I currently reside with my husband.
