#fragrancereview ~ Kintsugi by Masque Milano {2019} ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A friend recommended Kintsugi to me sometime back and after sampling it I was immediately curious about this fragrance. I could tell I was dealing with yet another highly floral fragrance thanks to the strength of its performance and my immediate detection of the magnolia and rose notes within the first 10-15mins of spraying it. Now after having giving it a full wearing, I can now share my thoughts on this #vaninamuracciole creation. Kintsugi, from my research into the name, is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with Gold - a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections. However, this bears no resemblance to this wonderful creation for which i can barely find any flaws. With a beautiful fruity-sweet opening with a distinct magnolia accord which then transitions to a velvety suede-laden heart with a delicate rose and violet leaves. This elixir oozes sensuality, class and sophistication. The dry down with balsamic notes and patchouli is equally as beautiful with benzoin and vanilla distinctively stealing the show. What I love the most about this floral creation is how well it performs on skin. It completely took me by surprise considering it’s non-aggressive composition but believe me, this is a beast of a fragrance. A few sprays will certainly announce your presence and envelop you in an enchanting bubble that will stay with you for over 8-10hrs.
