PLEASE elaborate on Monet and laws relationship in the secret modern au! Because from previous posts law is activity doing Things with sanji and is in a queer platonic relationship with luffy I just need to know the whole custerfuck of laws personal life what is HAPPENING in there

law and monet, they met when way back he was in the hospital as a teen. monet first started working there as a nurse for law specifically because of doflamingo's orders, then became ceasar's assistant and an anesthetist, now she's essentially a trafalgar specialist.

some months after losing her legs she complained about having trouble with relationships (one night stands really) because ppl kept getting put off and being really weird about her being an amputee so jokingly she said something about law and her only have each other and how they should date, law just went "let's do it then."

it's also because doflamingo keeps on killing baby 5's ""boyfriends"" making dating difficult when you're part to the donquixote family (as in crime family). since doflamingo for some reasons wants both of them alive, "dating" each other is the safest way they can go about it.

but they're also fake dating/fiancés in the sense that neither are in love with the other and they're essentially playing. they do care for each other but they're not friends, they're stuck together because of doflamingo, neither can really do any kind of relationships without the impeding threats of him ripping it all away in an instant. so they play. one date they're newly engaged doctors with a luxurious life style, another they're two tired girls who met online seeing each other irl for the first time, another and they're in love, ect.

law is a big mess relationships wise but also when it comes to his sexual life, he keeps putting himself into situation out of self loathing, hoping to get hurt, hoping that this time it'll fix him, hoping to be proven wrong, hoping to get away from everything and himself. he's all over the place. his and monet's relationship is messed up but it's one of the most comfortable he's got even though he knows a single word from doflamingo and she'd never speak to him again.

I think, if Mau lived in our times, she would still mainly wear long chiffon dresses that look more like gowns, combined with flat-soled shoes or sneakers. On top she would wear some kind of long cardigans or jeans jackets. Also, I think she would still give preference to long hair.

And this girl would be definitely addicted to soda pop, especially mango, passion fruit and pineapple ones. x))

Other than that, I think her adventurous side would've been more developed. She would often get into restricted area of unfinished constructions, bridge beams or rooftops just to enjoy the urban view, listening to the music or audiobooks in her cheap earphones.

What happen to Luffys teeth in the comic where kid asks him what happen to hsi teeth? He said he lost them as a kid but can we get detail into that if you havent answered that question already?

he grew up mostly homeless before garp dragged him into military school when he was around 15. he lost his teeth to malnutrition, infections from eating weird and rotten things and little to no access to hygiene/dental care.

he got some rotten and broken teeth removed and replaced while in school but he absolutely hated being forced to the dentist so they didn't get to help him a lot. it's only after running away and ace's death that crocodile got him some proper help and care and had him agree to the fake teeth and veneers.

when he says he lost most of them as a kid he counts his baby teeth as well, even though he learned/kind of understood already that it was a normal part of growing up it was still several kind of scary losing them anyway.

it’s really nice to see someone draw luffy being hypermobile!!! as some with with eds it always makes so much sense to me that he has it too— extra stretchy plus some level of chronic pain is so real

right?? it makes so much sense but i've never seen in it non devil fruits au fics (i haven't read a lot so i probably missed them tbh), it's such a missed opportunity! i hc that he was already hypermobile before even eating his fruit.

people's reaction to him stretching himself in canon, calling him gross and all, is so so similar to how people react when i bend my fingers and put my arms back in place so i Had to.

i need more of Law and Sanji being good friends but bad partners and that "Law crying because he couldn't handle it" and them just stopping, it feels too real man

im both glad and sorry this feels too real, i wish there were more art/fics where ppl struggle with sex!! or even just intimacy (sexual or not)! rn artwise im a bit busy and more in a kidkiller mood but i'll keep that in mind for you anon <3

Why do i keep discovering new things about me through your modern au Luffy??

i'm loving how unspecific this is, i've thought the exact same thing too many times myself also! i thought "what if i give him a similar problem to mine but left handed" then suddenly i'm getting diagnosis because of fanfic research! what!!

whatever you've discovered i'm happy for you! even if it's bad then it's better to know than not. i did hope for the au/fic in general to not exactly like, representation cause i'm not sure it'll be all that good but at least put it out there ppl with issues of all sort (health, brain, money, family ect) exist and all that! so yeay <3

i don't really understand what's going on in the modern au ^^" also is Luffy transmasc or intersex or smething? my brain is small

he's intersex! i wrote about it in the tags of this post, it's new but makes a lot of things click into place!!

this and the recent comics are about luffy and koby's time in military school (when they were 15-17), garp enrolled koby without knowing he was trans and put him with the boys, he doesn't know luffy's intersex either, they kind of bonded over that and helped each other to keep these secret though they were rumors about both of them.

they're flashbacks that probably won't be shown in the fic but only implied/mentioned.

What's the matter with Law's feet?

modern au law's got nerve damage wherever his skin has turned white, it's usually the skin itself and not too deep in his muscles except for his toes/hands/ears. he got in the habit of wearing slippers all the time after nearly losing a few toes not noticing he'd been injured stepping on something.

Just recently thought of something about your Secret Modern AU Luffy being a model. I saw him on the papers in your last comic, and it made me think of his wanted posters in canon; how excited he is to see his posters whenever a new one is released. It just made me think that's a neat parallel between the two, however intentional or not.

it wasn’t intentional but that’s funny you point it out because in canon luffy loves his posters but in the au he kind of can’t stand whatever has his face on it! at first he likes it then he grows indifferent to it and at the point the story starts he’s starting to hate his job, having to see his own face so often and the celebrity that comes with it.

on another hand his friends, fan and losers parents loves his pictures, his friends often tease him when he model in smth he wouldn’t normally wear and croc has a small secret collection of all the time he made it to the front page. Buggy has his own magazine so him and Luffy ends up having to work together every now and then, potentially facing croc’s wrath for how he has his son pose and dress stress the clown a bunch.

he's legally blind! i'm not sure what he has specifically, he's been losing his sight since sometimes after luffy's birth.

I relate to your recent luffy so damn hard man. I’ve always been stupid flexible and still am but NOW I gotta belly and have found myself unable to touch my toes because of my waist pillow not compressing like that. Very frustrating but at least I can do the splits, I understand the writhing fury luffy the belly is lovely but gets in the way

mihawk sometime visiting crocodiles villa cause he like on of the only ones that hasn't been caught by the law multiply times (he does do criminal activity people just don't got anything on him) and wouldn't be arrested on the sight of him just walking out of his home and he see dragon and is like oh I haven't seen this dude in while hey (he only visits to make sure nobody somehow dies)

anon i love your energy and in general i think ask like this are sweet, trying to build on what i've shown, but next month will be the modern au 1 year anniversary (and still not a single chapter to show for it 😭○|￣|_), the lore, plot, characters dynamics and all is all done and decided. i've just been in production hell trying to figure out how to write the whole thing.

about mihawk, legally speaking, he's never done anything illegal. like the authorities are spooked by him because clearly there's something going on, there must be, but they can't find shit on him.

he hangs out at croc's place sometimes, usually when buggy is there talking about his businesses (and being reprimanded for a certain shot for his magazines where croc thinks luffy's pose or outfit was too "suggestive" or about inappropriate comments from fans). because he likes to affectionately(?) torment him. he essentially doesn't appear much/matter in the au since the story focus on law.

Question why does law have uh skin discoloration....? In the modern au?

it's permanent scarring from Amber Lead Syndrome! in the au i want to explore stuff like disability and chronic illness, he's got nerve damage in the discolorated skin, his hair also got white patches but he dyes it to make it less obvious he's got ALS because of the everything with flevance.

Does our boy luffy have a last name in the crocodad au? Is he technically crocodile d. luffy in this or does he pull a sabo and only have a first name (also I am very 👀👀 at modern model luffy—he’s so fashionable!!)

nope! officially (though he isn't official) he's just luffy!

im glad you 👀 him dnfksn!! modern luffy is a model (among other jobs) with boa, he's been doted on by various ppl (which include boa), he's got a lot of clothes in a lot of houses!
