Brunch at @orchardcitykitchen. I got the budae jiggae since I was craving soup, but it left me somewhat disappointed. I wanted more of a kick and more flavorful soup. KFC chicken solid as usual. Tried the poutine curry tots. Tots themselves were standard and the poutine gravy was the curry. The fried chicken sandwich with mushroom gravy and regular gravy. That mushroom gravy is SOOOO good. Like a better cream of mushroom. And this gigantic mound was the shrimp and grits biscuit. A scoop out of the middle of the biscuit was filled with grits. It was packed with shrimp. But omg it was so heavy. This dessert though was fantastic. Buttermilk cake was so moist. A marshmallow accompanied it on the side was the perfect sweetness. A little tang from the persimmon puree. This course was probably my favorite. Hamachi crudo pomegranate seeds, pickled pineapples, crispy taro chips and in the side, a smear of nam prik pao Thai chili sauce.
