Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.
Cupid’s got his arrow out and is ready to make his mark once again. However, this single lady has only been struck by her swoon-worthy book boyfriends lately. I’ve started reading a lot more romance novels and with Valentine’s day just around the corner, I thought I’d share with you some of the most swoon-worthy novels I’ve read so far. Now, I tend to read a lot of the same author, so to save this list from becoming one massive gushing session on all of their books, I’ve chosen to spotlight one book by each author.
1. The Deal (Off-Campus Series, #1) by Elle Kennedy: This book kick-started my love affair with romance books and sports contemporary novels. I need Garrett Graham in my life. Seriously, where can I find him? This romance was beautifully paced and I loved how their relationship is grounded in the friendship they develop first.
2. Sacked (Gridiron, #1) by Jen Frederick: The romance in this book sizzles. The chemistry between Knox and Ellie is palpable. If you’re looking for a steamy but tender romance that’s relatively angst-free, this is the book for you.
3. Keepsake (True North Series, #3) by Sarina Bowen: Zach. ❤ I love this series and I was going to spotlight Bittersweet cause Griffin is everything, but there was something so endearing about Zach that I need everyone to know about him. He is such a sensitive soul. He’s not afraid to show emotions and is the most thoughtful guy I’ve ever read about. His relationship with Lark was stunning. They are as different as they are similar. I dare you not to fall in love with them.
4. All Played Out (Rusk University, #3) by Cora Carmack: Going into this book you never would have paired Nell and Mateo together. They literally run in separate crowds. Mateo is the life of the party and one of the star football players, whereas Nell is driven and so focused on her education that she leaves little room for socialising. Together, these two bring out a hidden side to one another. For Mateo, we get to see his tenderness and vulnerability. With Nell, Mateo brings her out of her shell and shows her that following her heart is not such a bad idea.
5. Walk the Edge (Thunder Road, #2) by Katie McGarry: There are so many couples I could have chosen from Katie McGarry’s books, and I was initially going to spotlight Isaiah and Rachel from Crash Into You, but Razor well and truly stole my heart. His and Breanna’s story just tugged at my heartstrings. “The boy everyone sees but nobody knows is with the girl who everybody knows but nobody sees.” Razor and Breanna are both outsiders in a way and their journey was heartbreaking, but so hopeful as well. These two deserve their happy ending.
6. Pipe Dreams (Brooklyn Bruisers, #3) by Sarina Bowen: I know I’m cheating by featuring Sarina twice on this list, but I had to give a shout out to my Bruisers. Leo is my number one guy, but I think Pipe Dreams is the best second chance romance. There is no denying the love between Mike and Lauren, but you also can’t ignore the hurt, anger, and longing that Lauren experienced after their split. This is a story that sees two people fight for their love because they know that what they have is worth cherishing.
Those are my recommended romance books and authors? What’s your favourite romantic book? Who’s your favourite literary couple?

Dentsu (Japan)
There is no advertising agency that dominates its home market as completely as Dentsu of Japan. It is a multinational media and digital communications who have its office in London (U.K). Dentsu was founded by Jerry Bhulman and controls around 30% of all that country’s mass media advertising.
This one is currently the largest advertising agency and fifth largest agency network in terms of worldwide which is made of 10 global network brands.
Recently its profile outside Asia was not very known but Dentsu began to change that imbalance with a few carefully selected acquisitions. Its first big breakthrough came with the purchase of New York agency McGarry Bowen. That was topped by the bolt of Ages which owns the global media networks of Carat and Vizeum.
Dentsu won many International awards such as Cannes Lions, One show, CLIO, ADFEST Lotus and Spikes Asia etc.
There clients includes Airtel, Flipkart, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Red Bull.

Director, Writer, Producer Fred Goss.
Fred Goss has made a name for himself as an actor, director, writer, and producer. His initial foray into directing was on the critically acclaimed ABC series ‘Sons and Daughters.’ He also served as co-creator, writer, producer and star of the series.
Fred’s first commercial project was directing a series of award winning spots for Coke Zero and within a year, Fred had directed spots for clients such as ESPN, Nike, Crowne Plaza, Office Depot and Burger King. He has worked with such agencies as Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Deutsch, FCB, Euro RSCG, Fallon, McGarry Bowen, BBDO and several others.
Commercial Directing Masterclass has helped over 550 filmmakers globally and has received 100% 5 star reviews. DM me if it can help you. I'm still offering a free consultation call to help you take over the world.
Thank you and please share this episode with your filmmaking pals. Be sure and stick to the end for Jake Brady's encouraging words.

This episode is one hour and 16 minutes and sponsored by Oso Delicious Hot Sauce, the hot sauce made by bears. Flavorseeker Fun Pak's ship Friday's at 3pm.
My cult classic mockumentary film, "Dill Scallion" is online for rent and I'm giving 100% of the gross money raised to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in fact I'll match it. Roger Ebert called it "The country music 'This is Spinal Tap'" so that sums it up. All star cast and a great cause.
Check out this episode!

How A Tiny Home Made A Huge Difference For This Foster Family

Nat Norsu and the fabulous homeowner/foster mum Jess in the new kitchen. What legends! Photo – Kate Collingwood.
Nat Wheeler, co-founder of Norsu Interiors, explains that like all good projects, the idea for this renovation emerged ‘over a drink.’ Nat was chatting with homeowner Jess (who provides day-care for Nat’s son) about Jess and husband Andrew’s soon-to-increase family. The parents had three children, and after years of having many temporary foster children welcomed into their family, were about to have two children permanently become part of their clan. There was no limit to the love on offer… but there was a real pinch when it came to physical space in the home. Overnight, the family grew from five to seven, with only one bathroom, all the kids in one shared room, and a poorly laid-out kitchen (take a look at some of the ‘before’ photos here and here to get an idea of the challenges presented!).
Nat and co-founder of Norsu Kirsty Sadlier knew they had to do something to help, but also understood that a full renovation wasn’t a feasible option for the family. Instead, the duo put their thinking caps on, and brewed up a creative response. Following Nat’s motto that there is ‘always a way to find a solution’, Norsu reached out to Soulspace Studios (having met at the Tiny Home Festival) to see if they would be able to assist – who generously jumped on board by donating their building services.
Norsu’s plans were to create a new space in the backyard of the family home for Oscar (the family’s 18-year-old son) to live in. While it is designed for Oscar, it also serves as a get-away for all members of the family to nip into, and offers a second bathroom for all of the kids to use. Nat highlights that Norsu are often known as ‘the pink girls’, so this interior design for a teenage boy was a chance to create a space for a new kind of client. Norsu created a mood board before the process started, that Oscar (and his parents!) were thrilled with.
With the help of designer Lauren Bartlett-Bragg from the NorsuHOME styling team, they created an aesthetic Nat describes as ‘edgy, but warm and inviting’. The palette of black, dusty blue, charcoal, and mustard, with natural linen curtains and raw timber and charcoal wall panelling offers a gently masculine, but universally welcoming space.
Alongside this inventive use of the tiny home addition, Norsu also installed a brand new kitchen, with generous donations of kitchen cabinetry (Zesta Kitchens), tiles (Perini Tiles), stone benchtops (CDK Stone), flooring (Scandinavia Floors), tapware (Meir), paint (Dulux), timber (Bowens), basins (Nood Co) and panelling (Easycraft). The list of collaborators on this project is never-ending, and Nat explains ‘we’ve never experienced generosity on this level before.’ She describes how she initially pitched the project to parents Jess and Andrew, who thought she was joking. But Nat felt that Norsu’s huge and engaged Instagram following were there ‘for a reason, if you’ve got that following, you’ve got to use it for good.’
This brilliant project highlights Nat’s philosophy that with a bit of creative thought (and many, many helping hands), there ‘are always other ways’ of helping. This project was about creating physical space for a growing family, but Nat also highlights how people can get involved with Berry Street to assist in providing children with a safe home. For this family, their home is now safe, beautiful, and functional, thanks to the generosity of a whole community.
Norsu Interiors would like to thank Soulspace Studios, Zesta Kitchens, 181 Electrical, Bowens Timber, CDK Stone, Stonelux, Perini Tiles, Meir, McGann Maintenance, Dynamic S’tiling, Scandinavia Floors, Sergi Cranes, Dulux, EasyCraft , Ferraro Plumbing, Sheridan Window Furnishings, ThermoGroup Australia, Warwick Fabrics, Voltex, Light Planet, Hettich, Nood Co, Kate Collingwood Photography, Royal Timber Flooring, Lo and Co Interiors, Earth Wool Insulations, Hollow Tree Showers, Superior Glass Solutions, Ben Ecclestone Cabinets, The Home Improvement Company, Pott Australia, The Cullin Design, 3 Square, H&G Designs and Blackhaus Studios for their generous contributions to this project!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.
This week is all about the cover love. Now I’ve done this topic before and it was just a general gushing of pretty book covers. So this week I thought I’d put a simple thematic twist on the topic and look at my favourite covers that feature people on them.
As you know I am not a fan of broody book models on the cover of my books. However, sometimes having a person on the cover (or the silhouette of one) can be very striking.
#gallery-0-6 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-6 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-0-6 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-6 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
1. The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski: I love this trilogy’s book cover. Yes, it’s just a girl in a very, very pretty dress but it always catches me eye and draws me in. It’s also super atmospheric and I love that the dagger is featured on the cover.
2. Keepsake (True North #3) by Sarina Bowen: This book cover looks so serene. I always feel a sense of peace when I see it. It also conveys the tenderness in the relationship between Zach and Lark.
3. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff: Haunting. This book is striking in every possible way and I love it. Again the cover does a very good job at reflecting the feel of the book. It’s haunting, mysterious and absolutely bloody.
4. These Broken Stars (Starbound #1) by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner: One of my favourites. I love this book and I love how the people blend into the cover. My attention is always drawn to the full cover and not just the individuals. Bonus – the dress is also featured in the book.
5. The Hard Count by Ginger Scott: This is a very simple but effective cover. As I’ve mentioned in my review, American football is at the heart of the novel and the cover conveys just that.
6. The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick: This cover is just too sweet. I get some serious summer vibes from it and is just pleasant to look at.
7. Walk the Edge (Thunder Road #2) by Katie McGarry: Okay so the person on the cover is but a speck but the entire cover is very significant for the character he represents. The meaning of the track and the jacket is not lost on the reader.
8. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: My feel good summer book cover. I could have chosen any Morgan Matson book cover but I just loved this book so much that I had to feature it. Plus who doesn’t love a bunch of dogs on a cover.
9. Siren’s Fury (Storm Siren #2) by Mary Weber: I must admit, I do wish that the actual face was hidden for this cover but the colours and the vibrant atmosphere you get from the cover draws me in. The black and red hint at the mood of the book with this foreboding sense of danger and Nym’s fury over the events of the previous book.
10. Air Awakens by Elise Kova: You might say I’m cheating with this one since it’s an illustration but who doesn’t love this series’ book cover. It’s so captivating and is one of those books you buy based solely on the cover.
Those are my favourite book covers that feature people on them. How do you feel about having people featured on book covers?

Grey Midwest Promotes Adam Kahn to CCO
Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, John Patroulis, has announced the appointment of Adam Kahn to the position of CCO at Grey Midwest.
Grey Midwest has elevated Adam Kahn to Chief Creative Officer. In assuming the position, he steps up from the ECD role he has held since 2015. Launched in April of last year and located in Cincinnati, the agency serves as an end-to-end marketing hub for client work.
In his new capacity, he oversees all creative development, helps set and implement vision, recruits top talent, and guides creative business efforts. His background in film, television, and game development has informed his work and earned him ample industry recognition.
Kahn began his advertising career at Grey New York in 2006. He has also served in roles at Rapp and McGarry Bowen where he headed Verizon’s entertainment business, working with Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. He once built a mobile game with NASA that debuted at Cannes.
During the same year in 2015, he joined Possible in Cincinnati, which became part of Grey. Kahn has handled blue-chip accounts like Diageo, Pringles, Pepsico, Maserati, Walmart, and Mercedes-Benz. He started in the mailroom at William Morris before his stint in Hollywood.
“This is a well-deserved promotion. Adam’s leadership has helped build a contemporary brand with digital, data, and commerce at its core. His desire to make Cincinnati a creative destination continues to transform the agency,” said Tony Desjardins, MD of Grey Midwest.

Crowd Engagement - User generated content used right
International athletic brand Adidas took a fresh and innovative approach to digital marketing this April when they utilized the 30,000 runners of the Boston Marathon to create personalized videos of its participants to promote its latest running apparel.
A seamless mix of professionally produced user-generated content and emerging technologies (in the form of race bibs equipped with high-tech tracker chips), this campaign returned a host of rich visual content that offered a real-life glimpse into the buzz of the event, the reward of the challenge and unique running metrics that showcase each participant's progress during their run.
Speaking to Marketing Dive on the campaign, McGarry Bowen (the agency behind the campaign) explained, "We are going to start seeing more of these kinds of ideas that promote the brands while creating real, tangible value for consumers. LG and Adidas are both excellent examples of doing meaningful things for large crowds of people or what I like to call 'thank you-worthy' experiences."
Result: This personal, emotive and immersive digital marketing campaign proved as innovative as it did head-turning, resulting in a collective 100,000 video views in the first two days following the race.

NYC showing an appetite for recovery with new eating venues
If anything reflects long-range faith that the city will recover from the pandemic crisis, it’s the counterintuitive commitment to new eating venues even though nobody knows when indoor dining will again be permitted.
The latest example: RXR Realty just landed a 13,000-square-foot lease for a sprawling food hall at the Starrett-Lehigh Building. Tenants of the massive, Art Moderne-style structure at 601 W. 26th St. — such as Ralph Lauren, McGarry Bowen, Johnson & Johnson and OXO — will finally have an array of choices without having to walk several long blocks.
The hall is leased to 16” on Center or 16OC, a well-established, Chicago-based hospitality collective outfit that specializes in creating new food and beverage venues in far-flung neighborhoods.
The Zagat Survey included founders Bruce Finkelman and Craig Golden among “Superheroes of the Chicago dining scene.” Starrett-Lehigh is their first New York City venture. In case you’re stumped, “16 inches on center” is a construction term for a point on a piece of wood used to space wall studs.
The new hall won’t exactly be a restaurant, but rather a collection of sit-down and takeout counters “sourced and curated by 16” on Center” and slated to open in the second quarter of 2021. The company makes license agreements with third-party operators for short-term vendor leases.
No one at RXR or 16” on Center would comment specifically on the timing, other than to say through an RXR rep that the landlord “has faith in the New York City market and the vibrant environment to come.”
RXR bought Starrett-Lehigh for $920 million in 2011 and put in $50 million of improvements.
In the past few days, The Post has reported two other major newly signed eatery leases: a 10,000 square-foot Urbanspace food hall at 124 E. 14th St. and a third Avra seafood brasserie of 16,500 square feet at 1271 Sixth Ave. in the heart of corporate Midtown.
Why such confidence? Although Midtown and other office districts are quiet — in part because employees now working from home are reluctant to return when there’s no place to eat indoors due to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s lockdown — a new survey by architectural firm Gensler found that fewer than 10 percent of lawyers across the US want to work from home full-time — a figure that likely applies in most other white-collar professions.
The colossal Starrett-Lehigh Building opened in 1931 as a freight-distribution warehouse. It was designated as an official city landmark in 1986.
