silver r(ogue) runs
silver r(anger) runs
Soulknife Rogue 10 / Fey Wanderer Ranger 5
we're back! ik this one took a little longer compared to the last few i've just been real busy with lab stuff! planning on having reign's sheet made next :3

I went for rogue for the general unbothered energy they tend to have, which silverr seems to have in spades. Rogues also have extremely high dex which we determined was gonna be silverr's highest ability score. I picked up ranger because the adept terrain knowledge is something that's really fitting for a speedrunner. I picked half elf for the race because they get a boost to charisma and that was voted as silverr's second highest ability score (note the charisma score of 18 that has exactly zero benefit to either of his classes lmao)

Ranger spell choices are extremely minimal so this is what we ended up with. Cure Wounds and Hunter's Mark for general playability, Longstrider for the SPEEDrunning joke, Locate Animals or Plants as a dupe for finding spawners.

Equipment time! Some smaller items of note include 20 obsidian (in 2 stacks of ten because dndbeyond is weird), navigator's tools for routing, pearls, a potion of healing, a fire resistance potion, and a pearl of power. To be fully honest Gray Bag of Tricks is entirely a joke based on gray=silver. The Eyes of Minute Seeing basically make you see better and give advantage on intelligence checks within an area around you and that was fitting to me bc silverr is pretty damn observant. The Ivory Goats were a pick entirely based on his old MC skin with the horns. Then I hope the Boots of Speed, Dragon Scale Armor, and Dragon Slayer Sword are fairly obvious connections.

Class featuresssss. Favored enemy was humans because that's just straight up other players and the dragonborns as a joke about the ender dragon. Speaking of the end, I chose Underdark for favored terrain as sort of a dupe for the End. Then two weapon fighting is the style I chose basically entirely thinking about the off-hand mechanic in minecraft.

This is a fun feature of the Fey Wanderer subclass that would legitimately give him horns in game.

Primeval Awareness is another D&D dupe for finding spawners or the stronghold in my eyes. A huge part of why I chose the Fey Wanderer subclass is because of the Otherworldly Glamour giving a huge boost to charisma checks. The common consensus of a lot of people is that silverr would have a really high charisma stat FULLY without realizing or having it be intentional and I figured that having him fey adjacent would be a realistic way of implementing that.

Finally here are his feats! Both of these picks were motivated by getting a plus one in the strength and charisma ability scores respectively. Slasher fits both because silverr is a strong pvper and because the soul blades from his rogue subclass can deal slashing damage. Shadow Touched seemed really helpful for a rogue with the invisibility spell, and also gave me access to False Life which kinda makes me think of the extra hearts given by a golden apple (and also silverr NEEDS those extra hit points he has a very low constitution score).
Again I hope y'all are liking these! Reign should be coming next but it may take me a little while to figure out what his deal is lol.

Here's fruit's character sheet!
Psi Warrior Fighter 12 (Superior Technique Fighting Style) / Phantom Rogue 3
I didn't include every subclass related feature cause that would've been a LOT of photos but if anyone's curious about that stuff or why I picked the classes I did I'll add them :)
(putting a divider cause i don't wanna spam the dash w/ photos)

the one thing i knew going in is that i wanted dex to be maxed out

i gave him the rope of climbing as a d&d form of speed-bridging/whatever crazy nonsense he does with blocks. restorative ointment is basically a health pot and then i hope cloak of the bat is obvious

this is another item i gave him that acts like him placing blocks, seemed really fitting to me

most of the combat related feats seemed fitting here

here's fulham's character sheet!
College of Lore Bard 12 / The Fathomless Warlock 3 (Pact of the Blade)
Fulham is the last HBG member that I had ideas for a character sheet for but I ABSOLUTELY want to make more, I just don't want to mischaracterize the streamers I unfortunately know a little less about. That being said please please please lmk who yall wanna see next and i can make some polls in order to help me get started. Thanks :3
More under the cut!

Fulham's always seemed really well spoken so bard immediately stuck out to me as a good pick, and college of lore was also a pretty easy subclass pick bc my guy is EDUCATED. The warlock multiclass is a little more for player usability than characterization- eldrich blast with some invocations on a 20 CHA character can get some crazy damage. Also fun fact that purple is the pinkest accent color on D&D Beyond it's tragic.

Spell picks were like 40% normal D&D picks, 30% minecraft references, and 30% pure vibes/intuition picks. I gave him a lot more support/enemy debuff spells than pure damage as fulham tends to really shine in team events imo (plus bards tend to lean more on that side of the spell spectrum anyways).

I admittedly went a little crazy on the inventory. The smaller easter eggs include and herbalism kit, melons, and a cactus in the chest along with cooks utensils (tubbathon cooking show) and a playing card set (poker). Going along with poker/gambling I HAD to give him the Deck of Many Things- that things gambling incarnate and is such a fun iconic item (if my memory serves correctly this makes Fulham the only HBG member so far to have a legendary item). Manual of Iron Golems and Cube of Force are straight up just slap in the face minecraft references and I'm impressed it took me this long to spot them. Bag of Beans was another reference to the melon/cactus shenanigans (even though the actual utility of the item isn't super related to the theme but shhhhh). The Lantern of Revealing and Necklace of Adaptation were a little more vibe picks than the rest, Fulham just seems pretty observant and quick to adapt to his surroundings so I felt like they fit well.

Here are the feats I picked. Fulham has a masters in mf ENGINEERING so it would have felt so wrong not giving him something artificer related in some way. Fey touched was partially for the charisma boost and another partially just straight vibe pick.

Finally here's just a few of the bard features he picked up that I thought were fitting- specifically Jack of All Trades and Cutting Words.
Again I hope y'all are enjoying these as much as I enjoy making them! Please please send any suggestions for other HBG members and what would be fitting (I know I want to make silverr and poundcake at the very least but I'm struggling with what choices to make for them)

Couriway time!
Order of Scribes Wizard 15
I'm havin a little trouble with fulham's sheet so if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about that lmk! Either way ill try to have his character sheet posted tomorrow!
More under the cut like always :) thanks for showing interest yall!!!

Wizard is lowk my favorite class in the game so I was super excited to make one! I ended up making couri an aarakocra in order to give him a fly speed but in my mind he's just a human lookin guy w/ wings and not like a full bird-person.

Here's his spell list! I was a lot less focused on picking minecraft related spells here and focused a lot more on general versatility (IE making a wizard without shield or mage armor would be very bizarre, especially once you clock that couri's AC is ELEVEN). Some of the things I did specifically pick out with couri in mind include scrying/locate creature (scrying is sorta like finding the stronghold and locate creature acts as finding spawners) and tiny hut (this was just me thinking about his house on HBGSMP).

Here are the items I gave him! The spell focus I picked was an orb cause it reminded me of an eye of ender. He also has 16 pearls and 5 rods (even though they're definitely not created with the minecraft counterparts in mind lmao). I'm gonna be real I gave him the eyes of charming almost entirely because they look like a pair of big round glasses. Similar logic behind the circlet of blasting- it's a crown. The boots are pretty much just a speedrunning reference and I hope staff of WITHERing is also fairly obvious lol. The robe of eyes is a little more interesting. It's basically what it says on the tin- a robe covered in eyes that allows you to see in every direction at all times. This seemed fitting for couri based on just the sheet number of seeds he runs, being aware of your environment at all times holds extra importance when you run than many different worlds.

This book is why I ended up going with order of scribes as his subclass. You cannot tell me that this thing isn't his chat. It's a little sentient book that follows him around!

Finally these are his feats! TBH basically the entirety of my reasoning behind picking telepathic is I needed a +1 boost to intelligence to get him to 20 for that stat lmao. Skill expert also seemed fitting in like a "practice makes perfect" type of manner again because of the sheer amount of no reset speedrunning he does.
This character sheet had a lot more of choices based on vibes alone than either fruit or fein's did, but I hope yall still see the vision lol. Fulham's sheet coming sometime tomorrow! (if I remember to post it)

yo, I'm Feinberg
Armorer Artificer 10 / Champion Fighter 5 (Superior Technique Fighting Style)
Second character sheet for my MCSRD&D stuff! I ended up going with mainly artificer for Fein cause they're extremely versatile and are always able to take in their surroundings, think quickly, and use seemingly mundane objects to succeed in whatever they're doing. I also took a dip into fighter cause I knew I didn't want him to have minimal martial ability.
More under the cut :) Couri and Fulham will be next!

I fully didn't plan on him having proficiency in animal handling but it's surprisingly fitting considering all the animal related achievements in AA. Also again I won't be including every class feature but if people are curious I can absolutely elaborate on stuff.

I legit just renamed the javelin of lightning into a trident cause it seemed so perfect

and then this feature is a large part of why I chose the armorer subclass

I really tried to go for spells that have equivalent effects in minecraft (most share similar names but longstrider=speed and pyrotechnics/fly=elytra). I also wanted all these characters to be potentially usable in a campaign so I didn't go for purely gimmick spells.

I gave him a bag of holding to act kinda like a shulker box and then I hope everything in the box is fairly obviously related. (fun fact pearls only stack in units of 10 on d&dbeyond so thats why theres a stack of 10 and a stack of 6 rather than just 16). It's not shown here but he also has a bucket of water and a rowboat (fruit had a bucket of lava too)

this is legit just enchanting, another reason why I went for artificer
#how are we feeling about the characters so far#i put a LOT of thought into this one#i was spoiled with not having to pick spells for fruit that adds a whole nother layer of complexity#but i'm happy with this and i hope yall have some interest in my fixations lmao#im thinking im gonna do wizard for couri and some type of bard multiclass for fulham? if anyone has suggestions lmk#feinberg#mcsr#mcsrd&d#hbg

after a long LONG time, i've finished up mime's character sheet!
Knowledge Domain Cleric 15
i was gonna wait to post this but i'm currently trapped in airport purgatory so i have time to write this all out
more below the cut!

Wisdom needed to be cranked bc cleric but I knew I wanted Intelligence to be high as well. After that it was just luck of the dice since I roll the ability scores. I didn't put tooooo much thought into how I scored the other abilities- just knew I didn't want charisma lowest bc I personally find Mime funny af.

So sorry for how huge that photo is- taking a screenshot of a non-multiclass spell list is HARD. Any spell that says "Always Prepared" came with the Knowledge Domain and honestly I think they're all spells I would've picked for Mime anyways. They emphasize organization, scouting, and acquiring intel aka Mime's spreadsheet nonsense. In terms of playability spells that a cleric needs, I picked Guidance, Resistance, Spare the Dying, Bless, Cure Wounds, Enhance Ability (also inspired by Captain Mime leading HBG through bedrock MCC), Mass Healing Word, Revivify, Spirit Guardians (fun fact my fav spell in the game), Mass Cure Wounds, and Heal. Speedrunning related spells include Detect Magic, Locate Object, Locate Creature, Divination, Find the Path, and Plane Shift. For other picks we've got Sending (just like sending chat messages in game), Banishment (generally just a good spell to have- sends something to another dimension), Flame Strike (I realized he didn't have many damage spells + his mini has fire in it), Create Undead (deadass minecraft zombies is the only connection here), and Word of Recall (fully acts like a stasis pearl/pearl hang- teleports you/allies to a previous location).

This is what he's got equipment wise. In MY mind that Hat of Disguise is a beret so that's what it's gonna be. Face paint is annoyingly not an item so I've got the Marvelous Pigments and the Disguise kit as a janky dupe for mime face paint. Wings of Flying = elytra there's not really much more I can say there. Crystal Ball and the Atlas are both spreadsheet-esque research based items which inspired their pick. The mace is partially because he needed a weapon other than the cleric's starter weapon and partially because that specific mace is closest to the super cool gothic one on his mini.

Here are some class features from the Knowledge Domain! The domain as a whole/the spells are more why I chose knowledge but the class features aren't unfitting for Mime either. Knowledge of the Ages specifically is a feature I like- Mime typically has his shit together on all fronts.

This is the first time the background I picked has taken any effect on the character sheet (and I just bought a new sourcebook so suddenly I have a lot more options lmao). This Researcher feature just screams Mime to me.
That's the finished character sheet! I'm not entirely sure who's gonna be next. The campaign is taking a TON of work and I've barely made any progress so that may take a lil more focus than character sheets. I will say I have druid K4 in the back of my mind so possibly that next? We'll see! Hope y'all liked this :)

Instead of asking straight up what class to make the next set of speedrunners i figured I’d get a read on what their best stats are and make their character sheets/classes based on that! I’m having such a blast making these im legit considering buying another sourcebook cause i only have one atm

rare mini reveal before the character sheet
i needed some inspo for mime's actual sheet so i thought i'd make the mini first and see what direction it took me!
more angles and comments under the cut
you have no idea how hard it is to make a genre accurate d&d figure of a mf mime
i was attempting to lean into a gothic type of aesthetic bc mimes make me think of france which makes me think of gothic architecture
and also i found the world's coolest mace and it was gothic themed soooo (plus cleric's fairly frequently wield maces and i think mime's gonna be a knowledge domain cleric)
his shoulder guards and boots also stick with the gothic theme- plus help him be aptly armored for a cleric w/o just looking like a guy in heavy armor w/ mime face paint
speaking of the face paint we are SO LUCKY they had mime paint in the face decals bc if they didnt i have no clue how i wouldve done it
im really proud of the end portal inspired shield (thinking about all portal speedruns). i even found a slight splatter decal to put the white particles over the actual "portal" part.
sticking w/ the ender theme everyone appreciate that i found ANOTHER item w/ an eye in it (his gauntlet)
the base is supposed to be themed around the recent netherite beacon shenanigans- hence the netherack and tnt
along that same train of thought, i imagine his summoned rocks are ancient debris
hes got a book bc knowledge domain cleric + his spreadsheets irl, the potions on it are health, fire res, speed, and strength
beret
this definitely helped me get a better vision for his full character sheet so expect that sometime soonish (i do have to buy the source material for knowledge domain cleric first though- i deadass have tasha's cauldron but not the damn player handbook)

Reign's sheet is FINALLY done and as per the poll I also included his character mini.
The Genie (Efreeti) Warlock 8 / Oath of Glory Paladin 7
Chat I tried my absolute best for a streamer I don't know as well so hopefully this one makes sense and is up to standards :)

So in the polls it was a pretty damn clear consensus that his highest stat would be charisma. Class wise that left me with bard, sorcerer, and warlock as charisma mains and out of those I felt warlock made the most sense. With Con voted the second highest stat, I figured I could get away with a martial multiclass so paladin ended up being one of the better options. Oath of Glory also ended up having a bunch of class features that make sense in my mind so it worked out. Finally I picked Pact of the Blade for a warlock pact in order to give him a bunch more utility as a martial attacker.

We've got two spell lists since both paladin and warlock get spells. This one was a LOT more based in utility than characterization- both because I'm not exactly confident in my ability to characterize Reign and also because this multiclass is a little funky so I can't just go all in on gimmicks. I tried to give him a pretty large amount of charm spells (ie Command, Charm Person, Enthrall) in order to reflect the super high charisma score in a way outside of just pure ability modifiers. Some other smaller references include invisibility (get it like the potion omg so im so smar- *gunshots*), Dimension Door (my mind is pretending this is like the nether and end portals even though utility wise it's infinitely closer to an ender pearl cause it's a teleport), Locate Object (spawner locating), and Enhance Ability (basically can be used for a variety of effects kinda like potions). The biggest stretch reference is Summon Fey and that pick was ENTIRELY because in this AU silverr is fey adjacent.

Here are the picks for the inventory- congrats Reign on being the first person to get a hella rare artifact yippee. A lot of these are slap in the face references: scale mail from the dragon, the brazier sounds straight out of a nether fortress, flame tongue greatsword is basically just a fire aspect sword, and I've been trying to give all the speedrunners something movement based so I added the gloves. Fun fact when you pick the warlock class you get to pick an arcane focus and one of the options was a rod so that's got double utility as a MC reference and also a spellcasting focus. Like the other sheets I gave him pearls but also note that he has a folding boat cause these speedrunners love their mf boats.

This is just the utility of the orb of dragonkind to give y'all a bit of understanding as to why I picked it.

Okay we've got a lot of features coming up so just like be prepared lmao. The top image is just ripped straight out of Tasha's Cauldron guidebook; I thought I'd let yall read about the subclass and judge if I picked right or not. Divine Sense is akin to finding spawners imo, and I picked interception as the fighting style because of the duos runs Reign does.

These are some more features from his paladin subclass that seemed fitting for specifically duos speedrunning. The big one here (and basically the whole reason I split the multiclass 50/50) is the 7th level feature Aura of Alacrity, which deadass just increases the speed of all allies nearby.

Finally here are the warlock invocations I picked up. Agonizing Blast just adds damage to eldrich blast (warlock cantrip aka an attack that doesnt use spell slots) based on your charisma score so it's an ESSENTIAL pick for a warlock (like genuinely if you make a warlock you need this invocation). Tricksters Escape gives freedom of movement which is essentially just a spell that prevents you from getting stopped by difficult terrain- really fitting for a speedrunner imo. Eldrich smite was just so perfect since he's multiclassed into paladin, giving him access to traditional smites.

And to go along with the character sheet I've also got the mini made!
Features I'm Proud of:
The sword is supposed to look like it's made from the ender dragon's jaw, and it's aflame like his sword from the character sheet
The paws/claws that are featured on his gauntlets (they're technically lion paws not bear but shhhhh)
The wand on the ground I colored like a blaze rod (I was trying my best guys there's no just plain rod)
Looking at his MC skin I have no idea what the thing on his head is so I just made it a circlet.
The teal thing is supposed to be the Orb of Dragonkind but with an eye of ender type of color palette.
The thing on his back is technically a vial pouch but I'm hoping it looks like a strap where he could put his sword when it's not in use- all of the sheaths were too small.
#chat i tried my best i prommy#i also haven't made a paladin before (outside of minthara in bg3) so this was new to me and pretty fun#also heroforge's options for male hair and faces are ABYSSMAL this mini was a challenge#rn im directionless for who to make next so be on the lookout for another poll probably#mcsr#mcsrd&d#hbg#reignex

ask on anon because i'm shy and haven't interacted w anyone in the community before this ask :") but i saw your mcsr d&d posts and got SO EXCITED!! all of your subclass assignments are so good and you are a multiclass wizard madam.
my only suggestion so far is that it would be really funny if you upped everyone's base movement speed to 35ft or something like that. because y'know, speedrunners go fast.
also i think you mentioned about being undecided on poundy's class- is there some potential multiclass fuckery in an arcane trickster x bard build? i think the 5e rules on spell slots makes the build a bit weird, but the vibes are there imo.
anyway yippee the character sheets are so cool. much much love :3
HI NONNIE!
no need to be shy we dont bite! (especially not me ive been here less than a year lmaooo)
im so so happy ya like the dnd stuff! its like largely what got me involved in the mcsr tumblr community which i can confidently say is one of the best online spaces imo :)
what's interesting about how i multiclass everyone is that i tend not to multiclass in games myself. if i do its always the basic combos (the two i can remember doing are druid w/ a slight dip into cleric and then sorlock in bg3). i try to make sure nothing like HARD conflicts between the multiclasses for the most part and i think ive done a pretty ok job lol
i def agree with the movement speed. tbh i havent really paid much mind to that which is so silly because they are SPEEDRUNNERS. i am trying to keep myself relatively contained to a realistic/playable build for everyone so it just depends on whether or not i can get a feat or trait or something like that that upgrades movement speed while not tanking other important features of the build
i am in fact, still stuck on the poundy build (but tbh ive been so slammed and busy for the past literally 3 months i havent even really looked at the character sheet in a looonnnggg time). helian made some super cool art of some runners as dnd characters and poundy was one of them, as a paladin iirc which is an idea im not opposed to thats for sure! ig i just didnt wanna seem like i was stealing the idea or step on any toes or anything :). i like the idea of arcane trickster subclass but idk how i feel about rogue for poundy because- and i absolutely mean this in the best way possible- subtlety isnt his strong suit lmaooo. i do think i want to go for bard though, especially after that thrilling espresso parody he sang in the mcsr awards
this def inspired me to get back to making character sheets though like now my brain is buzzing with ideas. i will say ive been making mini models in my spare time bc i love heroforge and also sometimes i see someones super cool mcsr artwork and i need it recreated in a little mini figure (although i dont post those bc obvi theyre not my designs yknow? just somethin i make for fun) ((also tins and oliver coppersunflower pirate art yes this is about you))
im sorry for going on such a ramble! tysm for the ask and also the inspo for more dnd works! im super glad ya like it and hopefully ill have some more mcsrd&d stuff out soon <3
#YAYYYYYY#thank you nonnie i love getting asks and im so glad the mcsrd&d stuff is appreciated :')#mcsrd&d#alt yaps#i rambled enough this is considered yaps#ask box

the leveling for the MCSR d&d game is already a lil fucky im not gonna lie. blazes are challenge rating 5 and the dragon is challenge rating 19 so the party is likely gonna have to be fairly high leveled, but i also don't want the blazes to be complete pushovers. for newer players I'd honestly just leave my MCSR character sheets as is (level 15) minus the OP items, non-new players would probably be looking at characters around level 10-12 to beat the dragon. i'm gonna have to chuck a decent amount of blazes at the party at a time i think
#this requires a LOT of research not only for d&d but also for me i need to look into some more of the specifics of speedrunning#also your regularly scheduled mcsrd&d content is still happening fulham's mini is just absolutely kicking my ass#mcsr#mcsrd&d
