Romani's gift is a bit selfish, you see. Because it's something Gudao really wanted to see with his own eyes. The nicely wrapped box is, albeit a bit shyly, excited handed to the doctor. Inside is, well. A shiba inu kigurumi. "It's getting cold, and I thought you'd appreciate this. It will make sleeping a loooot more comfortable, too! Merry Christmas, Doctor. ... and, uhm, if you don't mind... when you wear it, could you take a pic and send it to me...?"
Christmas descends as it always does, with snow and merriment. There’s laughter in the streets and carols on the corner, singing words of world peace and unity in trying times. There’s something magical about this holiday - something that fills Roman with a sense of ease and joy.
(The presents help too, certainly.)
“Ahh, Gudao!” Try as he might, there’s no hiding the embarrassed smile at Gudao’s present. It’s completely unexpected, and exactly why he likes it so much. Soft to the touch, there’s an undeniable urge to press his face against the silky fabric. But he refrains for the time being. “Right! Of course! I promise, I’ll send you a picture as soon as I can. Aha, thank you so much, Gudao. Merry Christmas!”
