mr bronson in grange hill is an enigma because of all the teachers he's possibly the one it makes most sense to headcanon as autistic and yet he's so intolerant and awful to the one canonically neurodivergent kid (danny)

#i do wonder what he must have been like as a school pupil himself bc it's just so difficult to imagine somehow!#he gives me the vibes of someone who maybe got picked on and never had any real friends but then got made head boy and suddenly had #power over everyone else and got way too much of a kick out of it #but still felt lonely so power & prestige was all he really had and could control or achieve #yes i do daydream about mr bronson's backstory. it's fun okay?#also wait maybe the reason he hates danny is because he's like the polar opposite of him. an outcast but out of choice #because danny's happy being an outcast. he doesn't care about doing well in school or about anything mr bronson values so much #mr bronson sees himself in danny but danny is SO different and has entirely different wants and needs & mr bronson can't stand it #and look at ant & zammo - the other boys bronson bullied! both easily popular and likeable. things he probably never was #ant has school friends who stand up for him. he's not academic but he's popular with the teachers. easily manages things bronson #probably never did #meanwhile bronson's favourite pupil is roland - a bullied kid who excels at school and genuinely wants to do well #ohhh these tags are getting longer and longer but suddenly it all makes sense!!#grange hill
