DEATH TO THE DESERT!! Also it is so funny to me that the species that died off/ disappeared is the roaches. Yk, the species that is notoriously hard to kill? Its cost me alot of time but i refuse to use hotels or venus if i can help it, because of this ive journeyed back to the old bug's abode and napped there numerous times. Im doing it right now I cant wait until im done with this desert o/Z (atleast i can fast travel through it now) Also the dev's should NOT have given me the charge ability. Ive run poor kabbu into every obstacle in the game (most of the time its unintentional, but some things look incredibly breakable)

Ohhh my god my first playthrough I’ve absolutely concussed poor Kabbu hundreds of times. It’s not our fault he’s so hard to turn

Also so fucking real on the journeying back all the way to Grandpa Chuck. That man CARRIED my playthroughs I don’t spend a DIME on hotels and inns

(anon playing through bug fables) i have just spent at least half an hour wandering round the lost sands and being so lost on what to do, only to find out i hadnt spotted the alternate entrance on the far left of defiant root and had been missing half the map i could see there was bits i hadnt explored yet, i just couldnt. get over there. They were taunting me (i found all of this out by googling a map and spotting the alt entrance there. I knew i had a severe case of skill issue but dear god)

Finally posting about the Omegas and Giant's Lair in the AU

After the Rain of Fire and the disappearance of the "giants," awakened bugs weren't the only thing that showed up. Omegas came around as well. They are heron-like birds which are mostly bone and struggle to stay alive due to how delicate their immune systems are.

Because of this, most flock to shelter like the Giant's Lair and fight over the resources and territory within it. To keep themselves safe from each other and illness they use whatever's left in the lair to build themself some armor. Alan's is made from computer parts and electronics, B's is from table cloths and small parts, and C's is taken from a grandfather clock

(anon playing through bugfables) THE BEE BOT IS DEAD. the whole time i was fighting this thing i was thinking "i never want to see this damn factory again" and then professor whatever his name was gives me a way to refight old battles. Never left a room so fast in my LIFE. (also i swear that the bug in the back of the party gets weaker. I know someone said that might not be true but im very sure it is)

IM NOT GOING INSANE THEN CAUSE I SWEAR. I SWEAR IT HAPPENS

For the last goddamn time...

"Kill your darlings" means "if something is holding you back, get rid of it, even if it sounds pretty."

That's it! That's all it means! It means if you're stuck and stalled out on your story and you could fix the whole block by removing something but you're avoiding removing that thing because it's good, you remove that thing. That's the darling.

It does NOT mean

That you have to get rid of your self-indulgent writing

That you should delete something just because you like it (?wtf?)

That you need to kill off characters (??? what)

That you have to pare your story down to the absolute bare bones

That you have to delete anything whatsoever if you don't want to

The POINT is that you STOP FEELING GUILTY for throwing out good writing that isn't SERVING THE STORY.

The POINT is that you don't get so HUNG UP on the details that you lose sight of the BIG PICTURE.

who are B and C (the bird guys) supposed to represent in this au? or are they just some guys made to fill in space

B is the actual Omega you encounter in the game!He doesn’t represent anything in Anim Vs but I just feel like the Omegas live a really long time so he’d survive into the AU’s time

And C doesn’t represent anything from Anim Vs. needed a way to kill off Gold and get King to hate the deadlands so Peepaw is more of just an original hater for the AU

(anon playing through bug fables) You uh. You got any tips for the BeeBot fight? It is quite thoroughly kicking my ass, ive lost to it five times in a row already. I got it down to 1hp last time but i got super unlucky and it targeted Vi instead of my two downed teamates with every attack. Also is there a way to skip the cutscene? Ive had to sit through it again every time ive lost. And at what point in the game do i get to hit mothvia with a car. Despite my unending skill issue though im having loads of fun, ty for getting me into the game :]

Heavy throw medal is really good, I can’t remember if you can get it or not yet. I HIGHLY reccomend doing as many side quests as you can as they can give you pretty decent rewards

It tends to be pretty resistant to most things, but freezing it can buy you time to heal and attacking it frozen does an extra point of damage

Hurricane Toss is also REALLY good for the fight as it ignores a point of defense, and if you want to get the attention off of Vi you can’t taunt with Kabbu and either give him something to raise his defense or bubble shield him w/ Leif! If you have Favorite One on Kabbu too and do that it boosts both Leif and Vi’s attacks

Not sure if you can skip the cutscene though
