I know everyone have different sensitivity and beliefs but I can't sit around and monitor every book and movie that come through my channel or finger tips. But frankly am over things that are not kid appropriate coming through my screens and books. I am over adults books and viewing I myself have to monitor for my spirit and moral beliefs. I have been guilty of letting toxic things slip through but I am completely done and on a mission to purge and declutter anything that does not line up with my morals and faith. So I am on a mission to curate a library filled with clean family age appropriate movies and books 📚 that I don't have to worry about what my children are going to be reading and seeing I will be sharing my findings in a up coming blog post. An example of this would be to keep a empty bin in your closet. So when you getting ready for day and come across an item that you don't love anymore, you can take it off the hanger and toss it in the bin. Do it for all your closet. At the end of the week donate it to charity. When you are cooking, wash the dishes as you are preparing the meal. Don't save it until the end. As mail come it, have a sorting station next to it have a trash can. Get rid of unwanted mail as it comes in. Keep the pantry wiped down as you are looking for something to cook or snack on. When you find an empty box toss it in the trash. Assign a home to absolutely everything in your home.The items that have obvious homes should be in their proper places. If you're done with homeschool, take your books back to its home. That goes for anything. The shoes home is not in the middle of the kitchen floor. Put it in the bin in the mudroom. Never feel like you are not doing your Christian service or you are not doing enough but just being a homeschool Mom, Homemaker and Wife. If that's what God called you to, then this is your ministry. God called us to a life of service, you are serving others. Your family is important. Just because you don't have an outside audience where people can see you and giving you praise doesn't mean you are not contributing to society or God is not proud of your contributions to society or his kingdom. If that's what God called you to do be joyous about it. Conjure up new passion for your calling. Study your roles and see where you can improve. Research all the great moms who homeschooled their children who made a great impact on this world. When your kids make an impact, that is you wrapped up in them. Be proud of your calling. Somethings you just know right off the bat it is not going to work for you,, so you don't even try to make it work. This qoute is so true. I do this with books. How do I know if a book is going to work for me or not? I read the title, I read the bIurb on the back, I open it up and look at how it's laid out, the size of the words, how thick it is, and I know immediately if this is a book I want to read or not. I think that's why I dislike thick textbooks with alot of small words. It is to much work for me. I would rather be reading something more creative and exciting. With a simple lay out. Feed me the information and let's move on. When we would rather be doing something else, we make excuses as to why this is not going to work or why we can't tackle this task or go to this event. It's really alot of work that goes into it dreaming big, getting rid of clutter, separating from a toxic relationship, deep cleaning your home, find a community for your kids. Disciplining yourself and sticking to a schedule, meal planning, and working out. I think it is ok to say, I just don't want to do it right now, or I don’t like it. Or I am not ready to tackle this task yet. Or I am scared to try. Or I just don't want to give up my time. It's not going to work if you would rather be doing something else anyway. It would just frustrate you and make you feel overwhelmed and maybe a little resentful. We do things on a daily, pushing beyond our limits, stepping out of safe zones to create an atmosphere our babies can thrive in. Alot of things I wouldn't have received if I didn't push myself to the limits. If I would've played it safe. If you would've played it safe. Before you start your day just jot down what needs to get accomplished for the day. I know having a schedule doesn't work for some moms and they keep everything in their head. If that is you, that's ok, writing things down just help you to get the most important tasks accomplished and not forget about what's really important. You don't have to put time slots next to it if that makes you feel overwhelmed. Just make a list and keep it before you. They say kids feel more secure when they know what is expected in their day. A simple list like 1. Pray/ read my Bible 2. Post on IG 3. Clean for an hour 4. Breakfast 5. Start Dinner in the Crockpot 6. Homeschool the kids 7. Outdoor play for the kids 8. Make Doctor Appointments. 9. Dinner 11. Tidy my home 10. Baths These are the things you know are important to get done in your day. You don't have to list every little detail if that doesn't work for you. Like bath, prayer, and read a book to the kids. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for every day I am able to spend with my babies. Thank you for the freedom to school them in the best way I can. Thank you for a roof over our heads and food in our bellies and family that loves us. Thank you for a husband who supports and challenges me, and help me to love him as he deserves. Thank you for taking care of every little detail of my life – homeschooling, homemaking, working, and mothering. I lean on you because you alone can manage all of it. Help me to do it all, Lord. I trust you to take care of my life and all of its parts. Help me to find the discipline to plan and teach daily lessons even when it’s inconvenient or I don’t feel like it. Give me the discernment to know what I need to teach and the knowledge to teach it. Help me to understand each of my children as the beautiful and unique individuals that they are. Show me how to reach each one as a mother, teacher, and friend, and show me how to love them as you do. Give my children an attitude of obedience and perseverance. Make them moldable and willing to learn and give them a lifetime love of learning. Help me to realize always the great privilege of teaching my children at home and to be thankful for it even when it is difficult and stressful. Help me to have patience as my learners assert their wills, delay their lessons, and make mistakes. Remind me that I make mistakes, too, and teach me grace to wash over them. Father God, fill me with the Holy Spirit that I might speak His words into my family and into the world around me. Remind me to treat myself kindly. I know I can’t pour into my children unless I myself am filled up, so help me to find space and time for myself. Clutter physical, mentally and emotionally stifles growth because it is stealing time away from what we were meant to be doing in this moment or season. Clutter also blocks what we are suspose to have and give out those around us like, our God ordained contribution to the world. Healthy relationships that are meant to flourish and thrive. Even a good quality life that you are suspose to be enjoying. Peace, love, joy tranquility. When I started to remove the clutter from my life I felt free, unhindered, able to flow and move in my God given authority, life and purpose. I still have work to do but at first I felt stifled, like I couldn't breath. If you are feeling stuck in your life right now it is because you are. Before I removed the clutter our of my life I felt like this. You need a clarity session. You need to find out why you are feeling this way and be open to here the truth and make a change. I know the familiar feels safe. It's scary to remove what you know has being part of your identity for the most of your adult life. I was something I pondered on and prayed for, for years. God blessed me with the desires of my heart ❤. I think when it is something you want to do that changes how you look at being a wife, homemaker and homeschool mom. You know your purpose. I love being here in this space, in this season. I desire to be no where else. You wouldn't want to throw in the towel so easily. Yes you have challenging days, that comes with anything you put time and effort into, but your desire is to be right where you know you are suspose to be. I know there is a difference with my presence being their with my children. Though I need to take allotted time for myself which is called self-care and balance. But I see the fruit of my labor and that makes my heart happy. I want to share a scripture with you that has been the force behind everything I desired and ask for. Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Psalm 37:4 “Delight in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart.” John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
