You don't realise how much someone has been emotionally abusing and manipulating you until you gather the courage to walk away, for good. I know it feels like you're stuck, and I know you won't listen to your friends telling you that you deserve so much better.. but I promise, at some point you will build up the strength to leave and it will be the best thing you've ever done. I just pray you leave sooner rather than later, don't waste your life and love with someone who in no way deserves you.

I don’t feel comfortable posting about my depression/suicidal ideation on twitter because a bunch of people from my hometown follow me on there (and my parents don’t know about it) but
The best thing I ever did when I was suicidal was seek therapy. Temporary therapy at my college was free, I did not have to give any insurance information, and I personally felt safe.
My therapist got me to journal my negative thoughts and do one thing a day that gave me happiness. They helped me feel okay that I was having a of trouble controlling my thoughts and actions. I still feel guilt, but therapy helped me see hope again.
If you go to college, see if your school has free counseling services. It might be worth it. Do what’s right for you, but try not to let fear of seeing a therapist stop you.
