Doom At Your Service had a really great premise but its dialogues always frustrated me.

Take the first scene between Meolmang and the girl goddess (Sonyo-shin) in episode 1.

He walks up to her as she gazes down at a park from the hospital rooftop.

Meolmang is annoyed because a man had just killed half a dozen people, and death and destruction is Doom's domain.

He asks the goddess why she doesn't take better care of her "garden".

She says it's not her place. Then she calls him a butterfly fated to hover over her plants.

Meolmang asks for how long.

She says for eternity.

He looks mad and asks if this is how she'll treat him on his birthday.

She tells him to go grant a human's wish because even his birthday is in service to humans.

Meolmang looks even more upset and says "It's time for the plants to wither."

Who wrote this??

Presumably, the goddess and Meolmang have known each other through hundreds of years, maybe millennia!

They must have had the same conversations over and over again.

Meolmang must have been told that he's trapped in this role for eternity a million times before.

She must have told him to go serve the humans in just such an imperious manner a billion times before.

But their entire conversation is constructed like they're discussing his job description as Doom for the first time in his existence.

Where is the sense of history? Where is the rhythm of a conversation that has been had so many times you can complete each other's sentences? Why was it so damned stilted??!

Sigh.

I still love this drama enough to rewatch though. 💛🫣

Mẹ gói con sơ sinh vào túi nilon ném qua cửa sổ

Người phụ nữ đối diện với 10 năm tù sau khi bí mật sinh con trong nhà tắm và có hành động dã man với đứa trẻ. 

Em bé bị ném xuống nền bê tông hiện vẫn sống sót nhưng phải chịu nhiều chấn thương nghiêm trọng, bao gồm chảy máu não.

Người phụ nữ sống tại Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, Anh bí mật sinh con hôm 22/4/2016 mà không cho ai trong gia đình hay biết. Sau khi thừa nhận hành vi cố ý giết người, cô này bị tuyên án 10 năm tù vào hôm 8/9. 

Thẩm phán cho biết: "Đây không phải phản ứng tự phát khi mang thai, đây rõ ràng là một trường hợp có suy tính từ trước và để lại hậu quả nghiêm trọng".

Công tố viên David Mason QC khẳng định: "Cô ấy đã lên nhà tắm trên tầng và bí mật sinh một bé gái. Đứa trẻ được sinh đủ tháng đủ ngày, cả hai mẹ con đều không gặp phải biến chứng nào. Cô ấy sinh con vào bồn cầu rồi gói đứa trẻ trong túi nilon trước khi ném nó qua cửa sổ".

Trả lời trước tòa, người mẹ cho biết không muốn giữ con bởi đứa trẻ nhắc cô nhớ đến cha nó. 

Luật sư bào chữa Paul Smith cho biết thân chủ mình là người non nớt, thiếu chín chắn và hiện tỏ ra hối hận về hành vi của mình.
