Hey! I love the idea that your reviving the fandom!! What a queen!! Aeduan and Isuelt headcanons of taking care of owl (like trying to cook and they’re just like hOw do wE Care for a child omg sos??). If you want to write that of course! Totally get it if you don’t! Thanks!!

Hahaha this is way too nice!! I’m hopeful that we will all come together and revive the fandom TOGETHER, and you actually taking the time to make a request of me is a huge part of it!! So THANK YOU.

AEDUAN AND ISEULT TAKING CARE OF OWL HEADCANONS

In the same way that Blueberry’s mood is affected by how Owl feels, Owl also bases her reactions on Blueberry’s. So, since Blueberry smells and is Damn Proud Of It and won’t be tamed a la Miley Cyrus, Owl also won’t let Aeduan and Iseult get anywhere near her if they seem to want to give her a bath. Which they do, because Blueberry stinks and Owl also stinks from spending all her time on it. It’s bad enough trying to get a normal small child to take a bath - try an Earthwitch whose mountain bat wants to act out her temper tantrums!

Speaking of her Earthwitchery, when Aeduan and Iseult try to get her to do anything that she doesn’t want to do, or scold her for doing something she wasn’t supposed to, she gets VERY stubborn and petulant. And so she may have put out one or ten campsite fires by shooting a column of earth up and allowing it to fall across the flames. Aeduan and Iseult are not amused

Aeduan gets very impatient when they’re all walking because Owl doesn’t like to be carried unless necessary and she is SO SLOW OMG. And so he has a tendency to hike ahead and then come back even though his witchery makes that a pointless endeavor, just so he can move faster and temper his impatience. This was awkward in the beginning for Iseult because Owl didn’t talk, liked Aeduan better, and she was still trying to get over the guilt she felt for being mad at Owl’s…existence…because it messed up their original plans to find Safi. But it was these times alone that allowed Owl to get more attached to Iseult, and so eventually Aeduan would get back from hurrying ahead to find them stopped because Iseult was explaining something they came across or was otherwise telling Owl a story.

When Owl wakes up in the middle of the night with a nightmare (because she has to have nightmares, right?) the person she wants comfort from is Aeduan. If he’s asleep she will literally just find him and flop on top of him, and if he’s awake she will go and stand next to him until he asks her what’s wrong and will then ask to be picked up/sit in his lap. And honestly, THIS HAS HIM COMPLETELY SHOOK. He has never been a comfort to anyone. He has always been the thing that other people are scared of. But Owl trusts him more than anyone else, and he has A LoT oF FEELS. He never knows what to say but Owl never seems to expect him to say anything, so he’s just….there….for her

HOW DO YOU ENTERTAIN A CHILD??? They have no idea, so they just do what they’d be doing anyway and hope that Owl is pacified by the activity. Aeduan tried to get her to meditate (did not like), started showing her some basic punches and kicks (did like), and gave her some simple tasks to try with her Earthwitchery to hone in on her control (kinda liked but also WANTED TO JUST GO WILD). Iseult showed her how to skin the food they caught (morbidly fascinated by), where to get drinking water in a stream (snore), and told her Nomatsi myths and bedtime stories (LOVELOVELOVE)

After she regained her voice, she took them both by surprise by saying “mhe verujta” while they were tucking her in one night. And then she just kind of…stared at them, and they realized that she expected them to say it back?? So they did……….but then they didn’t look at each other for the rest of the night

That’s all I’ve got for now!!! They weren’t really that ha-ha funny BUT I HOPE I AT LEAST GAVE YOU PART OF WHAT YOU WANTED.
