Iron-Blooded Androids: The Resistance

Note: IBA is an AU of Iron-Blooded Orphans where the gang is made up mostly of YoRHa Androids or Resistance Members (Based on Nier Automata). I tried to match some of them up with characters of the same voice actor, but I still took some liberties.

Now, as far as I know of, the androids were already a thing by the time humans ended up exterminated completely: It's implied that The Resistance has been around longer than YoRHa has, so we'll begin with them first.

Anemone [Azee]: This one was a bit hard because she knew A2 way back in the game, but I wasn't sure who would fit this role the best. I would have picked Fumitan, but I liked the idea of her being one of the YoRHas that died on the Pearl Harbor mission and thanked A2 for giving meaning to her life (Number Four I think). So for Anemone, I think Azee fits this role best seeing as she takes a leadership role after Naze and Amida died (Rose and Dahlia were the leaders of the Descent mission, but both of them died, so Azee is a nice fit I think). I like to think the Turbines like Lafter and Eco are the earlier Resistance members that helped founded Anemone's camp. And since Azee helps train the younger Tekkadan members, I figure it'd be a nice dynamic between Ride and Azee. (Azee uses 'Anemone' as a codename)

Jackass, formerly known as "Ride": Ride was a close friend of the Commander and frequently communicates with the Bunker. There were rumors around the camp that he was a former YoRHa soldier, and that he went into hiding as "Jackass of the Resistance" after a certain mission was given to him. He was originally a Type B model but was upgraded to a then-prototypic E model designation for the assignment-- this was short lived. Nowadays, his job is mainly to mediate things between the Resistance and YoRHa, in addition to helping with designing new anti-machine weaponry (hence his large collection of explosives with his own xRecipe Book'). Ride was his nickname back at the Bunker, but he changed it to Jackass. Another reason he left the Bunker was to keep an eye on an amnesiac fellow E model (See Amnesia side quest). Additionally, the incident led him to decide that his purposes as a prototype YoRHa android were fulfilled, and he too needed to create a new identity for a clean slate. Sometimes Mikazuki accidentally calls him 'Ride' due to a faulty memory.

Nadi Yukinojo: Weapons trader that works with a company named Accord. His skill is mostly in upgrading and selling weapons of different types. 9S/Mikazuki calls him "the old man" much to his dismay.

Biscuit: Supply trader that manages inventory of the place. He runs the maintenance shop as well as helping Ride with his sorting troubles. He tries his damned hardest to make sure his sisters Cookie and Cracker are safe, so he has them stay in the safe area beyond the gated entrance. They provide what little first aid they can do to injured androids.

Akihiro: Musclehead that patrols the place for any machine attackers. He'd probably be the NPC who asks 9S to retrieve the dog tags for his dead friends (Masahiro and probably Aston) Because Akihiro has a depressing backstory and Automata in general is depressing and I like to hurt myself. But at least he and Lafter hang out a lot to keep each other company. He likes to learn about Old World stuff in his free time and tries, although very poorly, to replicate it. Lafter is a sucker for old human behaviors pertaining to romantic gestures thankfully.

Hush Middy: I don't actually remember a lot about Hush, but I felt he belongs best as a Resistance member rather than with YoRHa. Probably one that is overly curious about YoRHa because of 9S and 2B running around the camp and helping out his fellow members. His secret passion project is aiming to reconstruct a flight unit similar to the ones YoRHa uses, but it hasn't gone well because he hasn't actually seen one up close. Let him live his pipe dream! Also has an obsession with studying combat model YoRHas, so he does his fair share of "research" with Ride.
