tl;dr: Genkins is Jenkins from season 5 and i think that whatevers going on in season 16 is because of a time loop, a multiverse, or a combo of both.

ok so for the starting point! i think genkins is prooobably jenkins. heres why:

the genkins with a g thing is like... a GLARINGLY obvious ref to jenkins

joe stated that genkins wasn’t georgia and was someone from “way back”, which to be fair could mean church, but church is dead now so

jenkins (in the dvd) has the same helmet as genkins

jenkins is involved in “alternate” endings of red vs blue where things go really south (ill elaborate on that later)

so going with the theory that genkins is jenkins the alternate endings of red vs blue become a LOT more interesting in my opinion (you can find those here)

in these alternate endings a lot of things happen but theyre mostly pretty wild. like in one of them the reds and blues all kill each other, in another one theres an alien invasion, and in another one everything that happens is just a dream church had after getting shot by the tank.

jenkins is in one of these endings and what he says is reeeeeeally inch resting to me.

The “Maybe next time” comment really stands out to me, because it kind of implies that jenkins is behind or is at least involved in some way with the creation of the alternate endings and the events of them.

(also just as an add on the wiki states that jenkins was fourth place in the list of possible reinforcements in the case that florida died, he didn’t become the reinforcement though, because the list was corrupted.)

I think that the time reset was either one of three things; a time loop, a multiverse, or a combination of both.

starting with the multiverse theory, Genkins did say that he wanted to create new universes when Grif confronted him in Paradox. The fact that theres multiple alternate endings in season 5 supports this, as well as the fact that dylan was able to tell the difference between historical artifacts originally and what the reds and blues had altered them as, which shouldn’t logically be possible because of how time travel works (supposedly) 

theres also this pretty interesting bit in the credits, where sarge and tucker are listed as “Not sarge” and “Not tucker”. Theyre the only characters with this listing and aren’t referring to movie sarge and tucker, because those have their respective listings. This, in my opinion is referring to Sarge and Tucker in the ending scene, which implies that the people there weren’t actually sarge and tucker. Which means its possible for Genkins to be multiple people.

ok so for the time loop theory, I want to point out the things that indicate that the reds and blues have expirienced the events of rvb before.

which, to me, REALLY sounds like they’re in a time loop, if they remember certain things happening. this theory could also support dylan being able to tell the difference in artifacts since this implies that certain people might remember certain things about the past.

the combination of the time loop theory and the multiverse theory miight be a long shot but heres what im thinking could’ve happened:

Genkins did talk about making new universes, and Chrovos and Genkins do have a reason to work together. I think that MAYBE (i dont really have anything to support this) whatever was going on pre season 16 was a time loop, and the reds and blues couldve been going through that for a long time. Howeeever i think Chrovos and Genkins could’ve worked together to create a multiverse, thus needing the events in s16 to happen to make a paradox and break shit i guess.

anyways thats my theory. im so fucking excited for season 17 to come out
