To get things done, one must overcome their laziness. Numerous factors can contribute to laziness. The task at hand usually isn't enjoyable, so you'll come up with all kinds of justifications and side activities to avoid doing it.
It is empowering to finish large projects when you lack motivation. Results and achieving goals become motivational in and of themselves, but you have to push yourself to start.
Here’s how to overcome laziness and accomplish more each day when working from home:
1. Take frequent, short breaks. Tell yourself that you’ll work for 25 minutes and then take a quick break. Focus with all your might and work intensely for those 25 minutes, and then relax for five.
2. Be tough with yourself. Getting started requires the most willpower. Once you’ve started, it’s easy to keep going. Grind your way through the first few minutes and then use the momentum to your advantage.
3. Stand up straight when making that important call. Slouching and laziness go together. Stand up tall and straight. You’ll feel better and sound more motivated and positive.
4. Monitor your inner dialog. Say positive things about the task at hand. Negative talk will stall your progress.
5. Stop thinking about it. When you think about doing an undesirable task, you feel uncomfortable. That’s the reason you won’t do it. So, don’t think about it – JUST DO IT
6. Exercise. Keep it short, intense and regular. Change your physiology, and your thoughts will change, too. Personally, I find my productivity halves on the days I don’t exercise before work.
7. Use a timer. See how long it takes you to complete the task. Make a game out of it. Another option is to set a timer for 15 minutes and see if you can perform the task for those 15 minutes without having even one negative thought. Timers are great for increasing focus.
8. Get rid of the distractions. Get away from the TV or radio talk back and turn your mobile phone off.
9. Be proud of getting your tasks completed. Most of us hate performing a particular task, and then feel neutral about getting it done. Get excited about completing these annoying tasks. Give yourself a pat on the back and a reward when they’re completed. It could be something as simple as a cup of tea or a great coffee but don’t reward yourself until your tasks are completed.
10. Make a to-do list. This is the most important one for me. Cross the items off as they’re completed and enjoy the progress you’re making. There’s something satisfying about marking items off a list. Laziness and lack of motivation is a common dilemma when working from home.
Hopefully there are a few workable strategies here to get you going. Put into action straight away and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the results.

Working from home can be a great way to increase your productivity. For starters, you'll have fewer distractions from colleagues and other office interruptions. In addition, you'll be able to create a space that's conducive to your own work style. For example, if you prefer to work in silence, you can set up your home office in a quiet corner of the house. Or, if you find that you work better with background noise, you can invest in a white noise machine or download an ambient sound app. Finally, make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day to stay refreshed and focused. By following these simple tips, you can boost your productivity and get the most out of working from home.
Have a dedicated workspace.
Set a start and end time.
Plan your daily tasks.
Have clear, scheduled breaks.
Limit distractions.

Why Freelancing is Better Than Any Desk Job?
Tumblr media
Freelancing is a dream come true for many. It is for those who wish to use their skills and talents without getting trapped in cubicles.
You can build a successful and personally fulfilling career as a freelancer since you are your Boss. It means you can set up your requirements for what projects you take on. You can spend how much time you allocate to them, how much energy you put into them, and how passionate you are about completing the project or task. You set your rates for each project and are free to choose which projects you want to work on based on how much revenue they will bring in.
Why is freelancing better? Here are 15 reasons why freelancing is better than any desk job.
Top 15 Reasons Why Freelancing is Better Than Any 9-5 Job
1. You’re the Boss Being a freelancer doesn’t guarantee you won’t work overtime, long hours, or have to deal with odd requests. You likely will. This is because you are your Boss and running your own business. You may choose whether you want to or need to put in the extra hours. We’ll let you in on a little-known fact about working longer hours while freelancing- you will get paid! Unlike some of the 9–5 jobs that don't pay overtime.
2. Set Your Work Hours Organize your schedule, for instance, so that you finish each day early. If you perform better in the morning, start early. Alternately, plan your working hours around them if you need to perform errands for the kids’ school. There aren’t many occupations in the 9–5 world that provide this amount of flexibility.
3. Freedom to Work From Anywhere The majority of freelance work done today is digital or online. However, there are times when your numerous clients may require you to work close to their offices. Anywhere in the world can be your office. You can choose to work from a nearby coffee shop, a specialized flexible office space. It is where you can scale up or down according to your needs. Or even from another nation. In addition, freelancing is a terrific method to sustain a nomadic lifestyle if you enjoy traveling.
4. Do the Work You Love Being independent is an incredible perk of freelancing. You get to pick the projects you truly want to work on and reject the ones you don’t find interesting. Work on the tasks you choose. You can have some spare time in your life if you can manage your work obligations.
5. Take Control of Your Future If you lose a client, it may be possible to gain another without losing that client rapidly. It is affecting your daily routine or your ability to pay your bills. You are in control of your future. You are free from having to depend on a large organization. Having the freedom and flexibility allows you to choose the projects you work on while remaining responsible for your actions. Additionally, you can have the flexible hours you work, who you collaborate with, your salary, and your work-life balance.
6. Earn More Than a Salaried Job We understand that having a regular 9 to 5 work provides economic certainty. You can plan your spending more efficiently. There is income flexibility if you work as a freelancer. You raise your fees or grow your clientele if you need to make more money. Moreover, you can also focus on consumers with higher purchasing power. While it must consider market factors, most independent contractors discover that they increase their prices as their experience, skill, and reputation grow.
7. Build Up Your Confidence When you first start, freelancing can be difficult. Freelancing at first is time-consuming and frightening. As a result, it must wear a diversity of hats at all times of the day. It can be when you are an independent worker running your own freelance business and managing your clientele. Everything is up to you, including handling customer expectations. You can keep in touch with them, producing excellent outcomes, billing, finding new clients, and much more. It can initially feel like a whirlwind with so many duties. Still, it will get easier as you become proficient in each field and create a structure that works for you by utilizing a specialized freelance platform.
8. You’ll Learn A Lot When you first start freelancing, it may seem like a lot to handle all at once. But as you gain experience, your knowledge will become priceless. You have the chance to develop new abilities while working as a freelancer. It includes the ones you already have. It could be that every undertaking, whether a project or freelancing work, will teach you something. You’ll use that new information and expertise in your subsequent endeavors.
9. A Work-Life Balance That Suits You Although everyone has a life outside work, a 9 to 5 job only allows for weekends and nights. There is no obligation to attend an early-morning networking group every week. Freelancing is one of the best methods for gaining clients and more attention. You may take the kids to sporting events, go out for coffee, and talk with friends. In addition, you can take a break during the summer break or fly away for a few days.
10. Variety of Work Many 9–5 jobs give you the monotonous opportunity of doing the same thing every day. There is a far higher chance to be associated with a much wider diversity of work kinds when you work for yourself. One day you might be working on a marketing project for a manufacturing customer or planning an event for a financial company the next. It can also be creating a new website the day after. Variety is the spice of life, and having a successful freelancing career applies the same principle to your working life.
11. Freelancing enables meaningful work Choosing your clients is one of the best things about freelancing. You can look at social media groups to find them. It can be those whose goals coincide with your own and begin working on various exciting projects.
12. You Choose the Clients You Work With One benefit of freelancing is you choose the clients you work with. You are in control of your destiny and can also select your clients. When working as a freelancer, it is up to you who you want to work with and which clients will suit your skills and experience.
If you have been working in a traditional office job, there may be some limitations on who can hire you. However, when it comes to freelancing, this will not be an issue at all. As long as there is an agreement between both parties, then it can be done.
13. The End of Office Politics People are frequently sad as a result of office politics. According to many employees, the worst part of their job has to curry favor. It is with rival supervisors or rival teams. Fortunately, you can restate workplace politics when you decide to work for yourself.
14. You Never Have to Do Unpaid Overtime Again Do you recall how salaried workers give up their spare time? Is it for no pay since they are salaried? That’s not what it’s like to be a freelancer. If you are working, you are making money. Clients pay you for your labor. Compensation will motivate you to work harder.
15. Your Efforts Reward You An employee receives a defined wage, while they might receive bonuses occasionally. Most of the time, it depends on how other people do their jobs. Regular employees of a business that isn’t profitable still get paid. On the other hand, the proprietors of design firms and independent contractors get paid. It is for their labor and the outcomes they produce. Their pay increases as they put in more hours. They get compensated more effectively with the better results they provide. You alone benefit from all of your labor.
Freelance jobs can be found in almost every industry and are more numerous than you might think. Counting freelancers around the world is impossible. It scatters their numbers throughout many industries. But we know that an increasingly large number of people, like yourself, are looking for new opportunities in freelancing as it offers a greater level of freedom than any other job. If you are thinking about freelancing, make sure you have a solid grasp of the freelancer’s role and focus on consistently producing quality work for your clients.

Despite a steady income as a freelancer, have you constantly desired a college education? But what for? . . . . As your inner monologue continued, you might have thought that the reason was the desire to offer your clients the best possible work experience. BUT the best service you can provide is your unique skill set, not a diploma that will collect dust in your bedroom.
A college degree is not a prerequisite to freelancing. However, it helps in providing mastery of basic skills like English comprehension and communication and more technical knowledge. Freelancing is an industry that has created more opportunities for people who got discouraged from college or did not have the funds to attend.
It may not be easy to believe that you do not need a diploma to do the job. If you look closely at successful freelancers, you will notice that some did not even finish college, and others work in a field completely unrelated to their undergraduate degrees. In other words, a degree broadens your skillset, but your skillset is honed through experience, practice, and new learning, all of which must be updated in the digital age.
However, it’s still critical that you stay current by paying attention to industry changes. This way, you can upskill and ensure a better and more competitive performance in serving your clients.
A freelancer is a self-employed person who hires themselves out to do jobs that employees of other companies or organizations would typically do. Freelancing has grown in popularity as a way for people with specialized skills, such as programming or design, to earn money and gain experience.
