basically OG mima was literally a dead person. a spooky disembodied ghost if you will. they could manifest partially physically like some demon, they could body hijack sal. they were making their little comeback. etc etc. THIS IS OLD BAD SHITTY LORE HOWEVER (very aesthetically sexy but makes zero sense)

something OG has in common with todays mima is the sal body hijacking. however, instead of mima being a disembodied ghost, mima is basically shunted fully and wholely into sal's... body and being? sometimes i actually jokingly compare this to a soulbond??

and the whole time, she thinks she IS sal, because Reasons. until she realizes she is not in fact just sal, and she wants to know MORE!!!! coming back to life... in terms of ego, fragile identity, "making an impact"... etc

so its less of a ghost trying to bring back their own corpse and more of a long-gone person trying to be seen again. not biologically alive in their old shell, but biologically alive and philosophically alive in a new shell- the shell of an immortal cis female human, which is the perfect one for mima. >:) i have no clue if i am making sense >:')
