You can sit in the parlor while you wait.” Though it sounded more like a command than a friendly gesture. She walks over towards to a seat of her own. “Sit.”

And there she was, The woman who'd conquered death and descended to the underworld alive. Mother of the weird pseudo-Elizabethan talking brat who'd invited him into this mess. Her accomplishments, all secured as a mortal, were so impressive that Vox had to admit he really was in awe of her.

The first chance he got he was murdering this arrogant fucking bitch.

"You have a lovely estate here. Fourteenth Century Gothic? Very nice." The overlord, despite the boiling fury hidden behind his screen, follows Mandy's instruction and takes his seat, resting one arm along the back of his chair as he casually crosses his legs. "Your daughter's adorable, by the way. Real insistent on arranging all this. A fan of our programming, apparently."
