When was that Viking spirit meant to kick in? The blade in Sigyn’s hand felt far too heavy and she had half a mind to cast it aside and rely on the magic that had been part of her for as long as she could remember. The battlefield stretched out before them, Thanos’ monsters pouring onto it, and in some distant part of her mind she saw another, from another life and a forgotten death, strewn with blood and bodies. Letting out a slow breath, she drew closer to Loki, although she had yet to find the chance to explain who she was, to give any introduction but that of being, long ago, of Asgard and willing to fight.
“My prince?” she breathed - you loved me once and I need you to remember now lest I lose you again - and lost her nerve. “Thank you, for the dagger, but I think I’m better off without it,” she held it out to him, handle first.

STUDY : Lady Sif. tagged by @mischieftomake & @lxghtnxnggxrl
— basics.
▸ is your muse tall / short / average ?
As standard 6′4 but I adjust height depending on who I’m writing with as she’s always shorter than both Thor and Loki
▸ are they okay with their height ?
She’s never had any problems with it
▸ what’s their hair like ?
Sif’s hair is infused with magic having been forged from the nights sky by dwarves. It doesn’t grow like normal hair does so she is super protective of it. In colour it is black though sunny days bring out warmer tones that would usually show in a sunrise.
▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair / grooming ?
Sif spends very little time on her hair or grooming unless it is for an event. There’s no point in having nice hair on the battle field where as she wants to look her best at feasts and celebrations.
▸ does your muse care about their appearance / what others think ?
It’s a 50/50 kind of thing. When she’s out in her armour doing her duty she doesn’t care. When she’s making a court appearance she’s aware of herself too much. People talk about her because of what she does and while she tries not to think about it, she cares.
— preferences.
▸ indoors or outdoors ? outdoors.
▸ rain or sunshine ? rain.
▸ forest or beach ? forest.
▸ precious metals or gems ? precious metals.
▸ flowers or perfumes ? flowers
▸ personality or appearance ? personality.
▸ being alone or being in a crowd ? being alone.
▸ order or anarchy ? order.
▸ painful truths or white lies ? painful truths.
▸ science or magic ? magic.
▸ peace or conflict ? conflict.
▸ night or day ? night.
▸ dusk or dawn ? dusk.
▸ warmth or cold ? warmth.
▸ many acquaintances or a few close friends ? a few close friends.
▸ reading or playing a game ? reading.
— questionnaire.
▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits ?
She has somewhat of a short temper. It only really comes out on the battlefield where it can be of some use but there are certain people (loki) who just know what buttons to press.
▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them ? how has it affected them ?
Frigga’s death was hard for Sif. Her own parents having disowned her after she was sworn in as a warrior of Asgard, Frigga had become a second mother to her. Losing that support was difficult to deal with but it’s why she wanted to help Thor and Loki exact revenge.
The Warriors Three were her brothers in arms and the closest thing she had to family. As it stands unless plotted otherwise she doesn’t know they’re dead. When she finds out though there’s an overwhelming sense of loss. They were by her side even when Thor wasn’t. Without them she feels more alone than she ever has before.
Odin was her king. Again unless plotted otherwise she doesn’t know he’s dead but when she does find out she hates herself. It was her job to keep him safe and knowing he and Asgard were gone destroys her sense of purpose. The only king she would follow after Odin is Thor. No one else.
▸ what are some fond memories your muse has ?
Proving herself in training for the first time. Getting granted the title Goddess of War.
▸ is it easy for your muse to kill ?
She’s a war goddess, killing is in her nature.
▸ what’s it like when your muse breaks down ?
Sif tends to shut down. She’ll go very quiet as she tries to process what is going on and will isolate herself even though that’s the last thing she should do. In very rare cases she’ll break down in tears but only with someone she trusts explicitly like Thor.
▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life ?
Sif trusts everyone in her unit with her life though most of them are dead now.
▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love ?
My default for Sif is that she has unrequited feelings for Thor because that’s how it was presented in the films. She thinks she’s being obvious and maybe she is but he’s yet to notice her advances. As for with other characters, Sif’s love language is to perform acts of service and to protect and care for the other person. She isn’t very vocal with her feelings unless she knows she won’t be rejected
