I bet yall if you were to put me as goalkeeper I'd still do more than ter stegen 😐
Atp we might as well leave the net empty at least then there won't be any dangerous mispasses that causes us a game

juventus needs to work on everything, those long balls? absolutely terrible, the amount of mispasses, they barely manage to go beyond midfield, nothing is working, they conceded way too many corners because they were unable to control the ball while defending, they gave away the ball everytime
Mhmm, they look rusty, OL too, they’re not playing much better. A pre-season game, literally.

As a french I can confirm that i've seen quite a number of french nt fans on twitter that seem happy about it. I'm so done with the french NT fanbase on twitter. They're so annoying. For some of them it's not even enough that now he won't play on the side at RWB, I swear some of these fuckers won't be happy until he's out of the squad forever. It kinda reminds me of how they used to be with Giroud. They used to trash him all the time, always insulting him, saying how he shouldn't be in the squad ect... And now that Giroud is out they focus all their energy on Pavard even though a lot were already hating on him (because he doesn't score enough goals and doesn't give enough asssists and doesn't dribble enough and basically he's just not flashy enough of a player for these clowns). The most ridiculous and hypocritical thing is that now that they got their wish for Giroud they now complain about him not being called up. I can't stand them. Luckily not everyone is like that but still too many for my taste. They're fucking sheeps. They only know how to follow trends... When it's hype to hate a player they'll trash him all the time and turn a blind eye or do everything to downplay the good that player does but oh when he makes even the slightest mistake like a little mispass or something it's insults everywhere and he's trash and doesn't know how to do shit. Then, when it's hype to be all over a player and hype him up, they do it too. The sad thing is that doesn't even just seem to apply to France nt fans but to most football fanbases i've seen on twitter. The football fans there are something else man.
i agree, people just hold on to a player to hate them! this happens everywhere, especially here at bayern. and tbh even though i think i'm most used to bayern players bashing benji (not now, in fact they're upset he can't play), some french fans are even worse. i understand they were upset because he wasn't in his best shape last year (euros, nations league) and not all of them watch bayern games to see that he's on a far better level but i remember reading stuff like 'oh i hope he breaks his leg and never plays again' like wtf bro? okay? he plays for you? idk i'm really sad that benji was going to prove himself there. you probably saw that he said that he would love to be more respected at france and now that he had the chance to gain their respect he gets sick :(( and also yeah i do miss giroud on the team. kinda funny how people used to trash him and now they miss him. i wonder if he's ever gonna get called again...

David Williams’ strike sends ATK to top after beating defending champs Bengaluru FC - football
Tumblr media
ATK beat defending champions Bengaluru FC (BFC) for the first time in five attempts in the Indian Super League (ISL) spread over three seasons on Wednesday. Australian David Williams scored the match’s only goal in the 47th minute. With 18 points from 10 rounds, ATK moved top but FC Goa, who have 18 points from nine games, can dislodge them in Chennai on Thursday. BFC stay on 16 from 10. By the time BFC switched positions for Rahul Bheke and Juanan in the three-man central defence, Williams had done the damage. Bheke had a string of poor touches and mispasses in the first 30 minutes and nearly lost a ball to Jayesh Rane in the 41st.The India defender had recovered then but when Rane pressured him in the 47th minute, Bheke couldn’t retrieve. Rane found Williams and the Australian banged in his fifth goal of the season with a shot so powerful that before Gurpreet Singh Sandhu could fling his 1.98m frame to the left, the ball had passed the India goalkeeper. “It was a good finish,” said BFC striker Sunil Chhetri.“It was the kind of game where the team which scores first would win. We lost to the skill of one player. The strikers of ATK (Williams and Roy Krishna) are doing very well. They had played three days ago so we knew they would attack us in the first 10 minutes of the second half. We spoke at half-time about it,” said BFC coach Carles Cuadrat. Rane was an important inclusion in central midfield in the way Raphael Augusto could not be for BFC, leading to the Brazilian being replaced in the 76th minute. “He has just recovered from a sciatic problem,” said Cuadrat. That Arindam Bhattacharja in ATK goal wasn’t really called into action till the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time was proof of the kind of shift ATK’s outfield players put in to subdue a team that has the skill of Chhetri, the pace of Udanta Singh and big men in Eric Paartalu, Albert Serran, Juanan to exploit set-piece situations.“The team was the Santa Claus tonight. I am very happy with the attitude they showed. We are a new team, we need time to be consistent but to beat a team as difficult as Bengaluru is good,” said Antonio Lopez Habas who said this was the first time he played a game on December 25.With one win in their last five games, ATK had hit a block after winning three of their first five. Getting Krishna alone in front of goal inside the second minute, therefore, would have been just what they wanted.Williams had found his former Wellington Phoenix teammate with a lob behind the defence and though replays showed Krishna may have been off-side, the flag had stayed down. The man with eight goals in nine games skewed his drive wide. With Armando Pena --- injured Carl McHugh’s replacement is 15 days from full fitness, said Habas ---- and Rane in central midfield, ATK attacked BFC’s central defensive trio early in the game and after Krishna, Francisco Gonzalez got into a good position inside the first quarter. On the break, Michael Soosiaraj too had broken through twice.BFC won a few free-kicks but with Sumit Rathi, 18, putting up a standout show among the three ATK centre-backs, neither was threatening. Rathi --- he is one for the future, said Habas --- also got an important interception in the 38th minute to keep an Udanta Singh delivery from reaching Chhetri.Since BFC joined the ISL in 2017-18, ATK’s form had gone south. In 2017-18, they decoupled from Atletico Madrid and finished ninth. Last term, they led by Komal Thatal’s goal here before being unhinged by two strikes on either side of half-time. It also led to Kalu Uche being injured and with it evaporated ATK’s hopes of a revival. The away game in 2018-19 ended 1-0. Paartalu had scored once each last term for BFC but on Christmas Day, the big Australian was reined in by ATK. It turned out to be a big night for another Australian. Read the full article

Subpar performance yielding quite an okay result considering we were one man down. As much as I love seeing 2 of our BBC defenders there, not much pace there to recover when we're on the counter, and we end up having to defend deep, which prevents movement towards the other side of the pitch for offense. I think it would be best to tandem either De Ligt or Demiral with either Chiello or Bonucci, who are fast, have the legs, and can do mean tackles to dispossess players while the senior CBs can guide the young ones.
Rabiot should've been subbed off earlier: Pirlo was aware that the man isn't fit to play the whole 90 mins. He would've been better subbed off over McKennie with Bentancur, tho prior to his fouls, he was helpful in possession and against press, but still struggles to facilitate offensive play. McKennie had a number of mispasses but he added that needed energy into the mf. I think he'd benefit more with 2 more midfielders in there so he can assume his role more freely, moving from box to box.
Cuadrado was out of position. Could be worse but I hope to never see him there again. Kulu as RWB feels less efficient too. He had moments of brilliance and sparks in offense, but was too isolated in his position.
Morata, i honestly didn't expect him to start given he hasn't had enough time to train with the squad and it shows... He still has yet to integrate.
Arthur and Bentancur provided a much needed change. Good debut for Arthur. Shoutout to Frabotta for making those runs in the end.
Also glad to see he didn't risk playing Dybala tonight. We need him fit for the game against Napoli.
Just some observations on what Pirlo can improve on with the team. I'm sure they would've seen more points for improvement. Pirlo's second match with Juve, with 1 man down and a draw? Could be worse, but overall, not bad against a team like Roma. The next challenge would be Napoli, with his bestie, Rino. Fingers crossed. Fino alla fine, forza Juve!

There should be a rule in football that if you as a goddamn professional footballer mispass more than 5 times in a game you should get banned

I don't want to give him a reason as to why he needs to stay, and I'm gonna sound anti-Juve for this, but either we need to drop points in Serie A or get kicked out in Ro16 in UCL to give mgmt a huge ass reason why he needs to leave. Juve fans are livid rn.
And don't give me that crap that it's bc the players were rusty and we're still transitioning bc 1. You had more than half a season's worth of time and 2. While the players were rusty, as seen with mispasses and totally inaccurate shots, how about changes in strategy instead of your "pass it to the fullbacks and wait for magic to happen", if we built up on our counters instead of doing backpasses, and minimal midfield action, opportunities for goals were not much supported when closing in the post hence why we only get real decent shots from outside the box? We didn't even have that many attempts on goal and N*poki were thrashing us with their attempts, Gigi was playing at his peak given his age for making all those saves, AND 3. Not to be mean but you put Gigi instead of Woj in goal.........did you think we were gonna breeze through this?
I see very minimal improvements to address the flaws in this system at this point too so I doubt any changes are gonna be made. And I didn't really want to compare bc we really needed a change in managers but it's come to a point that i'd rather watch with Max coaching us, at least there were some results despite the dreary gameplay in the latter seasons. This gameplay, on the other hand, is sh*t and we have had insignificant results.

I know we were playing against a 10 man Brescia but the attack from this team today! You got Dybala, Cuadrado, Higuain, Alex Sandro, and Bentancur attempting goals here and there. 20 total attempts on goal, 11 on target. Could’ve been a bit more clinical in our attempts but tbf Brescia’s gk stepped up and he protected that post well. I liked Rodrigo’s position here as well. Apart from that mispass that almost resulted to a goal, he was good. Dybala playing well, creating chances here and there, and that crazy dribble that unfortunately did not result to a goal. And Chiellini on the pitch again, the main highlight of this match tbh. Watching this match made me so happy.

This is so frustrating B*rca is already handing us these mispasses and we can't even put it on target 😢

Mostly uninspiring first half but hey we're quite functional, no mispasses or flaws in the mf or defense that could've brought in a goal for the opposing side so I'm not mad?? Just wish we could bring in that drive and channel it into scoring more.
