Spending this Sunday reminiscing some of my favorite memories from this year so far and looking forward to making many more — The kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade classes at Dutch Valley sure made me feel welcome on my tour of Anderson Co. area schools!! When a child wants to talk to you about their problems, stop everything and listen to them. There is nothing more important than that. The problem may Be Little to you, But to them it has always been big, and it matters to them... take the time to listen, because there problems matter to them. And they should matter to you too. Sometimes saying absolutely nothing at all, is the best thing you can say after all. Listening, listening earnestly to one another, is one of the most sincere forms of respect to each other. Sometimes you may be the only one who is willing to stop and listen. Don’t be afraid to sit down on an elementary school floor to listen to someone who needs to be heard. We all deserve to be heard.
