whats Aloeian?

Aloeian is one of two names(the other being nullic) that describe a person who is xlnone. Its a community term in the same wave of sapphic/wlw/woman loving women and diamoric/nblnb/nonbinary loving nonbinary as well as many many others. It describes an individual who is 'loving none' or doesn't experience/experiences very little attraction(either sexually, romantically or both.) So anyone who is on the aroace spectrum can fit within the catagory of aloeian. The way aloeian differs from other community terms is that it a.dose not specify the user's gender( the x in xlnone) and b. Specifies that the user loves none or doesn't love in a sexual or romantic bases (the loving none part).

I wanna state that I didn't coin aloeian/nullic and I don't actually have any particular reason for using it as the first base flag for my many many many flag combos and future ones, it was just the first flag in my MASSIVE folder of flags and identities heh I had ideas awhile ago to coin names and flags for wlnone, mlnone, nblnone and ilnone but I haven't gotten around to putting the flags together.

I'll probably be getting on it and coining soon hopefully, I've been trying to heal from a bad fall and thus it triggered a huge spike in my chronic pain. I'm under a lot of stress at the moment with family and their Christian holiday coming up and that usually causes another pain spike so we'll see. I've also finally gotten some art motivation so I'm pouring a lot of time and energy into that which takes time away from coining and content. I'm also sorry for the weird pinned at the moment lmao I've been typing them up but I reached the post limit due to other blogs and forgot about it. I might get them up today, we'll see.

— THE SUBTLE MEANING OF THE LOTUS SUTRA — (pt.2)

There is none of the profound philosophising we typically find in the Mahayana and other Buddhist texts, mlnone of the mind-bending paradoxes, none of the rigorous rational analysis, none of the strict adherences to empirical reality.

Instead we find the Buddha exalted to the place of an eternal divinity, the "owner of the world," the "father of the world"—almost as self-absorbed and status obsessed as a monotheistic God lording it over everyone else, demanding constant praise and administration, and claiming to watch over the world like a big superdaddy in the sky, playing favourites for those who "uphold" this sutra, which the buddhas "protect and keep in mind"; all the worse kind of tribal favouritism and universal surveillance that define the type of religiosity to which Buddhism had always seemed a refreshing alternative.

Here he is even threatening dire trouble to anyone who does not believe what he is saying, that is, who heard but does not accept the Lotus Sutra itself.

He is promoting the superiority of one religious view over any other and attaching it to allegiance to this very text. Surely here Buddhism has finally lost itself. Buddhism has become, [so it seems], just another praise-and-reward, "our team has a bigger god than yours" religion.
