genre: mostly fluff

warnings: not proofread, soobin’s part mentions sex/first time and he gets smacked in the head (deserved), taehyuns is a little rushed at the end, taehyuns and yeonjuns are short 😞

when you guys first started dating it was perfect. you two were the epitome of the perfect couple. however, things quickly changed. he was a full time idol and you had your own career to focus on. your schedules never lined up and even text messages were becoming few and far between. you knew it was time to break things off. he was the right person, just the wrong time. fast forward a few years, his idol life is now manageable and your career is steady when you bumped into him at a coffee shop on your way to work. he came up to you first, enthralled to see you again, asking if you wanted to catch up one of these days. you quickly agreed, your heart still aching for him. when you met him at the restaurant and started talking, it was like nothing changed. your conversations flowed effortlessly. you both agreed to see each other more often, realizing how much you truly missed each other. it only took about two more “catch up” dates for yeonjun to ask you to be his partner again, you quickly agreeing. this time it was the right time. the perfect time. like meeting in that coffee shop was fate for a second chance.

you and soobin were neighbors, playing princes/princesses in your backyards. inseparable on the playground at school. there wasn’t a day you went without each other. even when you guys got older and in high school, it was every day you walked home and went to one of your houses for dinner and do homework. his parents adored you and considered you their child as well, and your parents felt the same with soobin. it was easy. you talked about everything together. everything. including when you turned into horny teenagers and wanted to experience what everyone was talking about but you both were nervous because you both were virgins and didn’t want to be bad in bed. one thing led to another and now you both agreed to be each others first time. i mean what’s the harm? you’re best friends and have known each other since forever, who better to practice sex with? oh how naive you both were. afterwards you both laid on the bed, thoughts swirling in your minds. you fell for him and he fell for you. you wanted to talk it out with him the next day but you wake up to him gone. not even a note or a text. it hurt. even going to school the next morning alone, his mom saying he left early and in a rush. you get to school and he’s with some other friends of his, completely ignoring you. this went on for a week, him avoiding you. until one day you got fed up. how dare he just up and forget you like that? so you went to his house, his mom happily letting you in. you make your way towards him room, finding him doing his homework. he lifts his head at the sound of his door opening and is shocked to see you. “why are you avoiding me choi soobin” pain laced in your voice. he fesses up, admitting that after you two slept together he caught feelings and got scared. you smacked him across the head and kissed him, admitting your own feelings. and the rest was history

choi beomgyu. if you had a nickle for the amount of times you’ve said his name, you’d be a millionaire. he is constantly teasing you. one upping you. challenging you - and you’re not one to turn down a challenge. it started sometime in middle school, he sat next to you in class and pointed out he was the better student because he got one more point than you. it drove you mad and decided to beat him on the next assignment. you did. and showed him with a smirk that actually, you’re better. in that moment, a flame was lit. this continued into high school, and even when you two started university - unfortunately having many of the same classes. you were in the library studying for an upcoming exam, when beomgyu came marching in. he sees you and a smirk etches on his face, heading straight towards you. you don’t see him, your nose buried in the textbook. he sits down and slams your book shut. you grit your teeth and take a deep breath “choi beomgyu, i swear, one of these days im going to punch you in the face” “you would never” he laughs, leaning in towards your face slightly. “don’t tempt me” you look away from him and open your textbook. he closes again. “what if you kissed me instead?” your face heats up. you question yourself if you heard him correctly. “well?” he questions, waiting for your answer. you still sit there in shock, not looking at him. he lifts his finger under your chin and makes you look at him “or i could kiss you” he’s getting bold now. and as much as you want to, you have an image to uphold. he can’t get what he wants so easily. “or you could take me on a date first” you say teasingly. to your surprise he agrees, quickly asking when you’re free.

taehyun

royalty and servant

taehyun was the prince, next in line for the throne. and you, you were his personal servant. if he needed something, you got it for him. you set his clothes out every morning. brought meals to his room. cleaned up after him. you name it, you did it. this caused you guys to become very close, best friends if you will. however, the way you looked at each other begged for more. but, things started to change. he started cleaning for himself. getting his own requests. and one day you caught him in the kitchen getting his own snacks. “prince taehyun, i should have got these for you” he quickly shakes his head and smiles. “no no. you do enough” “it’s my job prince taehyun” “stop calling me prince” “but it’s formality” “exactly. we’ve known each other long enough, drop the formalities.” “but, you’re the prince i can’t-“ he cuts you off. “i may be the prince but im also your friend, who would like to be more and i think you know that” “i- we can’t. i’m a commoner it’s not-” “run away with me” “taehyun…” “i’m serious, y/n. my brother is more than cut out to be king. we can get out of here and just be us. i know you want that.” you look at him with concern, unsure what this would mean. but you nod. it’s worth the risk. he’s worth the risk.

he was in your dreams. every single night he was there. you saw his face, his hair, he always wore the same outfit too. every single night you dreamed of him. however, you’ve never seen him before in real life. you don’t know who he is or where he came from, but he’s always there. to the point where even when you’re awake you think of him. you’ve been having these dreams of him for years now, unable to shake the warm feeling in your chest when you think of him. then one night, you dream of him again but for the first, time he speaks. “i’ll see you there tomorrow” is all he says before his body begins to dissolve and you jolt awake. what does that mean? you try to do back to sleep but you can’t. his words won’t leave your mind. i’ll see you there tomorrow? you’re thinking about it on your way to work. your head down as your walk, distracted by the thoughts. i’ll see you there tomorrow? what did that mean? you’re pulled away from your thoughts as you run directly into someone, both of you tumbling on to the cement. you hear a muttered apology and the voice sounds familiar. you look up and see him. the man that has been invading your dreams for years. your eyes connect and “do i know you?” you both say in unison. you look at each other in shock, him quickly standing up and reaching a hand out to you. you accept his hand and a small shock ignites between you two. “this is going to sound really odd, but i swear i have seen you in my dreams” he says, scratching the back of his neck. “really? because you’ve been in mine.” you reply back. “can i have your number?” he asks. you quickly agree and give it to him. needless to say, you saw each other a lot more in person and less in your dreams.
