my heart warms that you all are still around. i'm so proud of you! i haven't been on my kinblog in so long since my attention keeps shifting from one thing to another, but it's always so nice to see this blog still doing their best to help the hskinmunity. i was wondering if i could ask for a request? perhaps decor for a roxykin who loved to write poetry in notebooks, dabbled in witchcraft, and misses her dirk very much? he was very stern... i'd like a cute flask to put water in as well. ty! ~rl

So I feel like I owe you guys an apology! This blog has been kinda inactive. A lot of the reason is because Mod D currently has an out of action laptop, so can't do much, and I've been busy with work and driving lessons!! However, I'm pleased to say that I've passed my driving test, so I'll have a bit more time to spend focusing on the blog!! - Mod DoomedDirk

Could I possibly get some positivity for a Dirk who really badly misses his Caliborn? We were... romantic, not just platonic.

Hey, dude!

So... you know my general advice for missing people from past lives. It’s your general "things for x��� tag; fill it full of things that remind you of them, things that you want to show them, things you think they’ll like - anything can help. Sometimes surrounding yourself with things like this can help the feeling of loneliness and missing them. Sending out canon calls can also help; even if it’s simple, even if it doesn’t say much, just knowing that you’re doing something to help find them can make it all feel a lot easier to handle. Putting pda stuff - from suggestion blogs, for instance - can also be a good way to handle not having a romantic canon partner around. Sometimes it’s nice to just vent out your feelings like that, to get it all down, to even write your own! It’s nice to think, too, that they might see it and it might make them pleased. 

Try to find music you associate with them. Listening to that can help just as much as any tag! It might increase the feeling of loneliness, sure... but I find it also tends to bring a feeling of completeness with it, too. Like you’re connecting with them, somehow, through the things you’re listening to. Or maybe it can just make you think of a canon moment that makes you feel warm. In either case, it’s a good feeling!

I say this a lot, so I’m sure you’ve heard it by now, but always, always remember that he very likely misses you just as much. In my experience, I’ve never met a romantic pair who haven’t missed the heck out of each other before they’ve met. He’ll be out there, trying to find you, as much as you are for him. Keep searching. Keep up Hope! He’s out there, dude. It may take time, and the waiting game is one of the hardest things to deal with, but honestly? It’s all so very, very worth it in the end. It’ll feel like such a huge relief when you finally see him. 

You’ll be alright. Missing someone hurts, and it hurts a lot, but you just need to tell yourself that each day you’re getting closer to finding him. Each day is a step closer to finally being reunited again! And that is a wonderful, wonderful feeling.

Okay guys, we need your help!

We’re opening up mod spaces - just one for now - because... yeah we really need the help. Between issues with Mod D’s laptop and work tiring me out, I think we’re backlogging requests way more than I am comfortable with. 

This is pretty informal, because I don’t see the point in making a whole rigmarole of it? So essentially, if you want to become a mod, please send us either a message or an ask detailing:

Age (adult/minor will do fine)

Requests you can’t do 

Requests you prefer to do (We really need someone who can do playlists!)

Triggers (so we know your comfort zones)

It has to be noted that you must at least be comfortable with leaving requests you can’t fill in the inbox. If they are taboo related (such as incest), then you MUST leave them in the inbox for me to review. In the end, I have the final say on whether or not a request is filled. If you delete a request without having posted a fill for it, you will be banned from the blog permanently. 

Hopefully having another mod on the blog will help us keep things going smoothly!

I wasn’t too sure what you meant - if you meant each individual item to not be over £25 or for the overall post to be £25 - so I’ve tried to keep everything as cheaply as I can! Could I get some positivity for a kanaya who feels guilty over their relationship with rose? My rose was v emotionally abusive but we pretty much stayed together until we got to earth c despite that. It was a really overwhelming time and when we finally broke apart i felt so lost and useless. I should have left her sooner but i'm such a idiot i couldn't even do that. I cared too much about someone who made me so miserable for so long.

So first of all I want to say please, please don’t feel guilty over a relationship where you were abused. Dealing with that sort of thing in the present is harsh enough; trying to deal with it over timelines, and placing guilt on yourself for it, will only do you unneeded harm. There’s nothing for you to feel guilty over. That sort of stuff is incredibly hard to deal with, and hindsight is a wonderful but terrible thing; we can see where things went wrong, how we could have fixed them, but we also tend to hyperfixate on all the places we could have had an out, and blame ourselves for not taking them. 

You’re not an idiot for not leaving her sooner. Emotionally abusive people are hard to leave. I should know; I stayed with an emotionally abusive friend for 8 years because leaving her was too hard. You should never think yourself bad for not leaving in a situation like that; even when we’re miserable, it can still be hard to convince ourselves that we need to go, or that we can go, or just about anything, honestly. What you went through then was not your fault. There may have been outs, but who knows how safe it would have been for you to take them? Try not to focus on what you could have done. There are countless if, buts and maybes. You did leave her. That’s what matters, Kan. You left someone you loved to save yourself from the abuse - and that can be hard as heck to do. 

Breaking up with someone like that is always overwhelming, and that can easily bleed over into this life. You feel the same things you felt back then, and it hurts, because you can’t even really relate it to anything that’s happening immediately. I’m so, so sorry you have to deal with that, Kan. But here’s a thing to know. You weren’t useless when you left her. Nobody is ever, ever useless. We all have our purposes, our uses, our perks and benefits and places to fit. When something like that happens, it just means our use wasn’t there. It lay somewhere else. Go back through what you remember. Go back over it with a fine tooth comb. Sift through every little detail, and tell me; was there a moment where you helped someone? Made them smile? Made them laugh? Got them through a time they didn’t think they could? Heck, maybe you just helped them find something they lost. Not everything revolves around Rose. Go through your memories and find all the people you love, all the people you’ve helped. Essentially, try to take your attention away from her, from her presence in your timeline, and focus it all on everyone else. It’s a good way to reinvent yourself, to move on. 

Mostly, remember that you’re in a new life now. This is our respite from all the bad past life stuff. You sit down, and you think to yourself, “Do I want to see her again?” Because I think you have a few options here: you can say yes, try to find her, try to see what she’s like, see if she regrets what happened (and fix things, put the past and the hurt behind you and let her try to make it all up), or not (and leave her behind, move on from her with the knowledge that you escaped a second time, and that she will never matter) - or you can just say “she’s not worth it, I’m here now, I can focus on myself”, and spend the rest of your time finding everyone but her, and making sure that you, now, are happy.
