Im so mad at the quality of this picture cause the show is so cute and this is so blurry but the only clear picture of this i could find cut off the three characters on the top(╥﹏╥) so pls watch and see clearly how clear the animation is
Okayyy so this show was hilarious like i hate to spoil it but there is no destructive god. So this show follows our main boy’s attempt to stop yelling at his problems. His problem being the person who sits next to him. The orange haired character has decided that Seri our protag is from some distant past where they were brothers in arms in some war. He also believes that he has an uncontrollable evil sealed away in his right eye. He calls people by weird names and his whole personality gets him yelled at by Seri a lot. So we are just following these high school boys daily lives what they do and stuff. We also have more characters who are just as weird, some of them believe hanadori’s weird stories and have given themselves parts in that timeline some are from Seri’s past. This show was such a mess i love it. Also how do they not get dress coded like one of them is blatantly just wearing a kimono to class not to mention bringing a scythe. But anyways the show is super funny to listen to Seri’s mostly internal monologues about how he wants to be left alone.
Anyways watch A Destructive God Stits Next to Me if ya like❤️

Anime spotlight - A Destructive God Sits Next to Me
This is a very silly and easy to watch series, its not the greatest and the joke wears a little thin but its cute and falls into my guilty pleasure of pretty boys do cute things and be queer.
The plot follows Seri Koyuki is a high school student who's trying to have a normal school life, but Kabuto Hanadori constantly singles him out during his ramblings about his fantasies, such as his dark side called Michael Offenbarung Dunkelheit or some quests he has to fullfill. Seri tries to maintain some normality in his school days anyway, but that turns out to be quite hard.
Its basically Seri trying to keep a low profile and get on with his life and these over imaginative and hyper boys distracting him and pulling him into their madness. It does get a bit samey with Seri getting exasperated and wanting nothing to do with these boys then feeling guilty and realizing that there is more to these boys.
I really watched it because its cute boys doing cute things and being obsessed with each other and very queer. Its so easy to ship, lots of pairing and the animation is nice and the character designs are fun and cute. Seri himself never learns and gets on my nerves a bit but I loved Hanadori he was adorable and fun to watch. I also loved Tsukimiya as he is a little shit stirrer and loves seeing Seri in pain and in a state of constant annoyance.
Not the most original and yes the joke runs thin but still its cute and easy to watch but would have enjoyed it as shorts of maybe just 5 eps long.

Another BokuHaka Post
I wasn’t gonna do this cause I decided to make one at the end of the series but the latest episode got to me bad.
Tumblr media
They’re so cute~
Also... Hanadori has been a chuuni since he was a little kid?! And Tsukimiya was the reason he’s just... messed up in a way. It seems he, as Koyuki said it ‘brainwashed’ Hanadori from childhood. No wonder Hanadori kept listening to everything he says, they’ve known each other for practically forever!
Also, I guess this is the 2nd set of childhood friends in the show with Koyuki and Mogami being the other one.
Next half of the episode below cause this’ll be long.
Okay, I’ve mentioned it in the other post but Koyuki Seri is a nice person. I’ll probably rewatch the entire series (except for episode 2 because god, I hated that freaking episode) to get more screenies and such before elaborating on this but I just wanna say this cause this episode kinda proved that.
He was gonna go to a Christmas Party with 2 presents: one to join the exchange gift and the other is specifically for Sumiso whom he likes (as much as I hate to admit it as I’m a Hanadori x Koyuki shipper). He had a goal: to be able to give the present and confess his feelings.
Sadly, he’s got bad luck but it’s expected from a comedy anime protag. Before I say what those are, just leaving this here for later:
Tumblr media
Mogami Kimikage wanted to give Koyuki a black Santa costume because black Santas punish naughty kids and he’s a masochist (I’m not even gonna sugarcoat this) who wants Koyuki to beat him up. I’d mention this again later.
Anyways, Koyuki runs off before Mogami sees him and meets Hibiki whose present for the party is ruined. The boy is crying at how he’d always have bad luck and that he was excited for the party only for this to happen. Seeing this, Koyuki gives him the present he was gonna use for the exchange gift so Hibiki could participate. He mentions having an ‘extra’ so Hibiki would accept.
Koyuki leaves thinking it’s fine since he can still give Sumiso his present for her. Then he sees Mogami’s sister, Suzuran, fallen on the snow and is probably cold. The girl was looking for Tsukimiya and didn’t wanna go home despite her situation so Koyuki gives her a scarf to make sure she’s okay before suddenly leaving. That scarf was his present to Sumiso. It was supposed to be.
He gave them up for 2 people even though it meant he fails his goal. (really wish I had pictures for all of this. Maybe next post...)
Having no present, he still wants to get to the party but gets stuck in snow. he was helped by a Santa who then gives him a present to take for the party since the Santa saw how Koyuki gave his away.
This is where the fun begins.
I didn’t get a picture but Mogami is happy since Koyuki got and is able to use the black Santa outfit that was his present for the other boy. Koyuki had to use it cause he was soaked from getting stuck in snow.
He was thinking twice on participating in the exchange but his friend took his present thinking Koyuki just forgot to pass his. The one who won the present is Sumiso and she not only found out it was from Koyuki, she loved the gift.
But seeing what it was gave Koyuki a realization...
Tumblr media
He quickly and I mean he realized in a second that the present was probably from Hanadori. And he also realized the present must be what Hanadori was gonna give him.
But who cares, right? He got what he wanted: he was able to give Sumiso the perfect present. She loves it, too! But...
Tumblr media
He apologizes and asks for it back since he knew it was important to someone else. Even though Hanadori annoys him, he appreciates the kind thought.
Also, we have this one happening elsewhere:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hanadori handmade that necklace for Koyuki so they could match.
Let me repeat: He worked hard and made it himself. And based on Sumiso’s reaction, it was really good.
He gave that up cause he knew Koyuki would be happier giving a present to someone else.
You know, for a while now I freaking had this thought in mind that Hanadori would probably be the type of person to give up his happiness for Koyuki’s sake ever since he ran into the horror house scared to death and knowing he wouldn’t like it in there just cause he wanted to get a charm for Koyuki.
And holy crap I didn’t need to think of any scenario... the show freaking gave it to me telling me ‘Yeah, it’s canon that he’d do something like that.’. I nearly screamed when I realized (but I didn’t cause it was the middle of the night and everyone is sleeping).
Tumblr media
Hanadori’s precious smile after Koyuki:
-says he knew the present was from him.
-that Koyuki didn’t give it away and would keep it.
-thanks him.
(Someone protect this precious boy’s smile please!)
Tumblr media
Then this happens. Suzuran knew, even without being told, exactly what the scarf is for and gives it to the person Koyuki wanted to give it to in the first place. She didn’t seem to like Koyuki but she went out of her way for this. And Sumiso accepts!
Tumblr media
Hibiki shows up to give Koyuki what he got from the party as thank you for earlier and what do you know? The certificate is for the exact restaurant they’re standing in front of.
Then Koyuki got to be the ‘100th’ customer. He wanted to go with Sumiso but Hanadori drags him inside lol
Tumblr media
When you realize they’re really matching. Not only do they now canonically own similar pendants, they’re wearing Santa outfits and they didn’t even plan this.
Tumblr media
Behind the scene it shows that the whole ‘100th’ customer thing was Shikimi’s idea as it’s his present to Hanadori. Shikimi, who this entire time he’s been shown on screen just wanted to hang out with Hanadori (which he was able to when he taught Hanadori how to make accessories), did this so Hanadori could be with the person he wanted to be with the most (which is Koyuki) for Christmas.
Outside, Sumiso watches happily and her bestfriend tells her to ditch the losers which she doesn’t and her friend comments that she’s confused that Sumiso is happy with this.
Let me summarize why this episode made me feel stuff:
-Koyuki’s sacrifices which he did without thinking twice.
-Mogami was able to give Koyuki the Black Santa costume present he wanted to give.
-Koyuki giving up his happiness to do the right thing when he asks for a present back.
-Hanadori working hard on the aforementioned present and Koyuki not only receiving it and knowing it was from him despite not being told but also Koyuki happily accepts it and thanks him. (also Hanadori’s smile)
-And they’re both matching like he wanted!
-Sumiso getting the present Koyuki wanted to give her in the first place. She accepts the present and thanks him. (He probably got some plus points with Suzuran telling Sumiso of Koyuki’s kind act earlier)
-Shikimi giving Hanadori the present of a dinner with Koyuki.
Tumblr media
They’re a mess. They’re dysfunctional. They’re weird. They’re very troublesome and could create chaos when together.
But they all clearly care about each other that they’d give up something they want to make someone else happy. I never thought I’d smile not just from the comedic parts of this series but also smile at how heartwarming this entire thing was.
I was cheering for all of them the entire 2nd half whenever they got what they wanted. It was like some weird-ass miracle to be honest lol.
This episode made me feel blessed hahaha
--
I’d make other posts about this, probably. If I’m not lazy.
One for the end of the series.
Another Hanadori x Koyuki post because I need to make another Hanadori x Koyuki post.
A probably short Koyuki Seri-centric post because I want to make one for this poor unlucky boy lol.

A Destructive God Sits Next to Me TV Anime Reveals 11 Cast Members
As announced back in July, the TV anime adaptation of Arata Aki's A Destructive God Sits Next to Me manga is a Crunchyroll co-production that's on the way as part of the Winter 2020 lineup. The latest update comes from the pages of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine, which revealed the main cast we can look forward to hearing in the anime.
The cast will consist of actors reprising their respective roles from the drama CD that was released in Japan in April of 2016.
Here's a rundown of the newly announced cast members and what they had to say about their roles:
    - Jun Fukuyama (Voice of Seri Koyuki)
A Destructive God Sits next to me is getting an anime!
And all of the cast members from the drama CD, including myself—Fukuyama as Koyuki Seri—are returning for this adaptation.
With the current trends being what they are, this comes as very happy news.
Unlike drama CDs, anime also has accompanying visuals, so I'm very much excited to play a part of the world the director and the rest of the staff create. Waiting warmly to hear Hanatori yell, "Gestober," this is Fukuyama Jun, voice of Koyuki Seri, signing off.
Please look forward to the anime!
    - Takahiro Sakurai (Voice of Kabuto Hanatori)
I hope to put all of my imagination, playfulness, and vibe into portraying a most unique character.
This will be a fun show full of life, and I hope you all enjoy watching it.
    - Ryohei Kimura (Voice of Utsugi Tsukimiya)
I remember having a lot of fun in the studio when we worked on the drama CD, so I walked in excited to see what kind of anime it would make, and I can safely say it was super fun. Be it fans of the source material or people new to it, I hope everyone looks forward to it, just as I am to see the final result.
    - Tsubasa Yonaga (Voice of Hibiki Kimiya)
I'm really happy to be reprising my role as Kimiya Hibiki in the anime.
I can't say if it'll be the same the voice (heh) given how long it's been (heh), but I'll do my best!
And just like all of you, I too am very excited to see the characters and Hibiki animated.
It's a lively anime with not a dull moment, and I hope everyone gives it their full support.
    - Shinnosuke Tachibana (Voice of Kimikage Mogami)
It's been a while since the drama CD, so I was very surprised when I heard about the anime adaptation! (lol) But really, congratulations to everyone involved. And I'm very happy to be voicing Kimikage once again. As a comedy anime, it'll take a lot out of the actors, but there's no doubting that it'll lead to great things. I hope you all look forward to this super fun show.
    - Kosuke Toriumi (Voice of Shikimi Tokimune)
I'm glad to be returning to this role in the anime. I expect great things from the animated characters, and I hope the fans look forward to it as well.
    - Toshiki Masuda (Voice of Aitsu)
It's me, him. Masuda Toshiki, voicing Aitsu. The highlight of this show will no doubt be the comedy routine between Fukuyama and Sakurai, which I've never really had the chance to see in other shows we've been in together. Believe me, it's really great! The mood in the studio was jovial and filled with laughter. Please look forward to its airing!
    - Takayuki Kondo (Voice of the Class Teacher)
Congratulations on the anime adaptation. I worked on the drama CD, but it feels like such a long time ago. With the anime, however, the story's unique world and narrative tempo hit me far more vividly, and I found myself having a lot of fun with it. I hope you all get to experience this fun as well. A small part of me wishes I could've gone to a school like this one. (lol) I'm playing a teacher who has lost his smile, but I promise to put my all into voicing him.
    - Ai Kayano (Voice of Kotoko Sumiso)
  Congrats on the anime!
I'm so happy to have been a part of this story since the drama CD and getting to play Kotoko in the anime too.
While I can't wait to see all these unique boys moving around on the screen, I'll be very happy if everyone enjoys Kotoko's gentle and cute side as well.
    - Yoshiko Ikuta (Voice of Suzuran Mogami)
I've been wanting to see an anime of this ever since the drama CD.
I'm so excited to be voicing Suzuran and her very charming duality—extremely cute appearance and extremely sharp-tongued personality. As a fan myself, I can't wait to see all those fun characters animated. I hope you all enjoy watching the show and read the manga!
    - Chinatsu Akasaka (Voice of Yae/Cerberus)
With the chance to reprise my roles as Yae and Cerberus from the drama CD, I'm very excited to see all those fun characters again!
Starting with the main characters, I believe the entire cast will have some very hyper dialog, but I hope to dive in with all I have.
Look forward to the hyper-yet-heartwarming lives of these characters!
A Destructive God Sits Next to Me
Launch Time: Winter 2020
Territories: Worldwide except for Asia
  Synopsis:
High school student Koyuki Seri has a disposition for whipping out witty retorts... but hates people who wait for those retorts! Much to his dismay, he had caught the eye of Hanatori Kabuto, who suffers from a terrible case of delusions of grandeur and everything about him could warrant a retort. Seri swears that he will never utter a retort about Kabuto, but he just can't hold back. Not to mention, there seem to be even more strange people gathering around him... A high school boys' comedy that'll make you laugh and laugh (but can also be cute at times) is about to start!
