65 SG Special...after and before. . Ok...the deed has been done. Do you prefer the "after" (photo 1) or the "before" (photo 2). . Personally I'm leaning towards "after" from a resonance/sound perspective, but I do like The way it looked before. 😄 . Also: tuning on the G string is getting me down. I'm thinking about investing in a lightning bolt bridge properly intonated for a plain G. I'll buy two and do the '62 Special while I'm at it. Maybe I'll do a plain wraparound for the two '61 juniors while im at it as well! Any recommendations? Meanwhile, the #LesPaul TV Special has been out of action for a few weeks because I broke the high E and was too lazy to change it. Ah the curse of having several guitars in the house...you can always just pick up another one! 😉

Anyhoo: since it is such a beautiful day here in Canada, I decided I would stay indoors, clean it up, and change the strings!

Oh also: I am trying out a @mojoaxe_custom_guitar_parts compensated bridge (on loan from my buddy @tomgibson3783). I have never tried a #MojoAxe before but I have heard great things. The third shot shows the two bridges together for comparison (original #Gibson wraparound to the left, Mojo Axe bridge has already been installed on the guitar). You can see how the Mojo Axe has that raised ridge for intonation. Hopefully it was also minimize the sitar-esque buzzing sound that comes out of the B and high E on a regular wraparound sometimes.
