List of Love Live seiyuus who were in the Pretty Series
It's April Fools Day of 2023 and on this day, Coco Hayashi from the recently disbanded Run Girls, Run! took over the role of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's Setsuna Yuki from the recently outgoing Tomori Kusunoki, really caught the world by surprise because Setsuna's new CV played the role of Mirai Momoyama from Kiratto PriChan while Tomori also starred in the said show as Mirai's little sister Hikari. What a shocker, huh?
Tumblr media
Turns out they're not the only ones involved in both the Love Live series and the nearly defunct Pretty Series (yes, I just said that because they've stopped making new animes since the Waccha PriMagi! series finale). There are others as well and with that, it's time for a little project; a quick list of the Love Live seiyuus who were in the Pretty Series. Just the big ones.
Aya Uchida - In the Love Live series, she played Kotori Minami from the original Love Live! series. In the Pretty Series, she played Hina Yayoi from Waccha PriMagi!
Suzuko Mimori - In the Love Live series, she played Umi Sonoda from the original Love Live! series. In the Pretty Series, she played Anju Shiratori from Kiratto PriChan.
Riho Iida - In the Love Live series, she played Rin Hoshizora from the original Love Live! series. In the Pretty Series, she played Amari Katasumi from Idol Land PriPara.
Sora Tokui - In the Love Live series, she played Nico Yazawa from the original Love Live! series. In the Pretty Series, she played Suzu Kurokawa from Kiratto PriChan.
Miyu Kubota - In the Love Live series, she played Karin Asaka from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. In the Pretty Series, she played Sophy Hojo from PriPara and Emo Moegi from Kiratto PriChan. Oh yeah, Kubota's a member of i☆Ris, the group that did the theme songs for the PriPara anime.
Tomori Kusunoki - As said, she used to play the role of Setsuna Yuki from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club before she retired at the end of March 2023. In the Pretty Series term, she played Hikari Momoyama, the little sister of Mirai Momoyama from Kiratto PriChan.
Coco Hayashi - A member of the now-disbanded Run Girls, Run!, Coco took over the role of Setsuna Yuki from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club from Tomori Kusunoki on April Fools Day 2023. In the Pretty Series term, she played Mirai Momoyama from Kiratto PriChan.
Mayu Sagara - In the Love Live series, she played Kasumi Nakasu from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. In the Pretty Series, she played Miruki Amauri from Waccha PriMagi!
Maria Sashide - In the Love Live series, she played Emma Verde from Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. In the Pretty Series, she played Eve Kagayaki from Kiratto PriChan.
...and there you have it. A list of Love Live seiyuus who were in the Pretty Series. It's hard to imagine why both of these franchises poach each other's voiceovers for their idol girls. Oh well. With the Pretty Series we know is dead and gone after Waccha PriMagi, looks like the Love Live series is going to end up poaching Pretty Series seiyuus for their next projects. The question now is...who's next?!

Not gonna lie, I’m VERY disappointed that Oshama Tricks didn’t perform, and also that Bugcchu doesn’t have a proper voice, but despite all that I honestly think that this episode was really fun. And I’m especially happy to see Oshama Tricks again.

also i wanted to show this picture that the 4th prichan blue ray has
if that’s not foreshadowing. they decided ‘we must always have 3 characters on the cover and they can never be the same twice’ so 1 is kiratts, 2 is meltic, 3 is anju aira and meganee, and now it’s these 3 dumbass children
well. two dumbass children and non hikari. i really do hope this comes to fruition one day

20-year-old voice actress Tomori Kusunoki is confirmed to make her solo singer debut from SACRA MUSIC (Sony Music Labels) with "Hamidashimono" (literally means misfit). The song will be featured as the ED theme for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Shu's fantasy light novel series The Misfit of Demon King Academy. She is also cast as the anime's main heroine Misha Necron.
Following the digital release on July 11, her four-song first CD "Hamidashimono" will be released on August 19, 2020. Three songs in the CD are written/composed by herself.
  The "Hamidashimono" EP song list:
  1. "Hamidashimono"
   - Lyrics: Tomori Kusunaki / Music: Ryosuke Shigenaga
2. "Nagame no Sora" (The Sky of The View)
   - Lyrics & Music: Tomori Kusunoki
3. "Romanron"
   - Lyrics & Music: Tomori Kusunoki
4. "Boku no Miru Sekai, Kimi nio Miru Sekai" (The World I See, The World You See)
   - Lyrics: Tomori Kusunoki / Music: Tomori Kusunoki & Ryosuke Shigenaga
Kusunoki won the special prize in the fifth Anistoteles audition held by Sony Music Artists in 2016, then made her professional voice actress debut as the role of a junior high school girl in the TV anime Eromanga Sensei in the following year.
Her first major anime role was Hazuki Kagimura in Märchen Mädchen (2018), then she has voiced Llenn in Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online, Kotetsu Tatejima in Anima Yell! (2018), Hikari Momoyama in Kiratto Pri☆Chan (2018-), Melida Angel in Assassins Pride (2019). She is also a member of the Love Live! franchise's voice actress unit Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and plays the voice of Setsuna Yuki. She won the best New Actress Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards in 2018.
The TV anime The Misfit of Demon King Academy is set to premiere in Japan on July 4, 2020. It was originally set to premiere in Japan in April 2020, but has been delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Just found out Hikari is voiced by the same person that voices Setsuna. My hope for her debut only rises.

I just love the fact that Oshama just immediately went to Hikari for help. Like, this girl doesn’t even really like them that much(they don’t even call each other by their first names) but they have a problem and the first thing they do is go to Hikari. AND SHE GOES ALONG WITH THEM despite her complaints
