After like a year and a half of not touching my spinning wheel, I’m back at it.

so I've spent the last couple of days carding 100% dog hair batts (which is a PAIN in the ASS and the person who insisted it be 100% is wrong and should regret all of their choices) aaaand I think I’m allergic to dog dander because I’ve spent those last couple of days sneezing at the same time I was doing the carding, which sucks because I have the sinking suspicion that I’m going to get more dog hair carding/blending jobs in the future

I probably could have gone an extra row on the toe decreases but it fits well enough

I am probably not going to start the other sock tomorrow since I’ll be in the car at o’dark hundred to get stuck in traffic with the rest of the people who think oh, if we just leave early in the morning we’ll beat all the traffic

leave a sock half finished for a year before finally finishing it

get over half-way through sock 2 in five days

I was going to say I had nothing to say about this, and then I realized I did: switched from magic loop to dpn because I only have one cable that crosses over two needles at this point

And while I have a cable needle, I’m back to using a spare dpn because the yarn grips the bamboo much better than the aluminum cable needle and I don’t have to pick up the stitches that just slid off the needle that way

By the time I finish the chart for the cable, I should be at about the point I need to start doing my toe decreases, which... I didn’t actually anticipate. I’ve never actually knit this pattern all the way through, so it’s kind of a guess at this point
