Things I LOVE about World of Warcraft's Dragonflight BETA!
First and foremost; the scenery! Every xpac, the devs and art team never fail to make their world amazing and make me want to live there! I haven't even explored everything yet!
Alexstraza's new model! Not gonna lie, I'm a simp for this Queen. She can slay me any day.
THE OTTERS! FORGET THE DUCKS I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE FREAKING OTTERS! (I play hunter - I CANNOT WAIT TO LEARN HOW TO TAME THEM!) I literately make little squees of happiness every time I see one. xD
DRAGONRIDING! Holy shit this feature IS SO COOL! It takes a good minute to get use to (especially the landings from high speed - those prone to motion sickness beware), but once you've got it, it's amazing! I am absolutely willing to scrap regular flying ENTIRELY for dragonriding to be available EVERYWHERE. (Anyone who knows me would know that this is basically blasphemy coming from my mouth.)
Glyph Hunting. This is such a neat feature added onto of the dragonriding. There are Glyphs hidden around each zone to collect which you then use to upgrade your dragonriding skill. Some of the are up REALLY FREAKING HIGH! And the challenge of finding and getting to them has been really fun!
Dragon racing! I'll admit that although I haven't done one yet, I absolutely LOVE the concept! You can have an "official" race with your friends on a designated route. It's very similar to the cloud serpent racing in Panda-land (I just can't remember if you could race with other players or not....)
This isn't new, but a feature that just makes me happy; after you die, you get a lift back to your body, much like in Catclysm zones. Best part? Your ride is a dragon of course. As you can imagine, the Dragon Isles are like.... 90% mountain. Getting around on foot would be hella annoying and inconvenient.
TALENT TREES ARE BACK! Though this shouldn't be news for most, or anybody by now, the freedom to build your character's abilities however you want is great! As you level up, you earn one talent point in either your class or spec tree alternatively. I haven't spent a lot of time messing around with it; I plan on looking more deeply at my options when DF is live.
And that's all for now! I'll share a part 2 as I come across more awesome things to get excited about int the upcoming expansion!

Hi Bunjy! Bit sad today, so can you give me some cute sea otter facts? They are my most cuddly favorite and if they were to maul me to death I would still be like "omg so cute!!!"
if you've only ever seen them in pictures this fact may surprise you, but sea otters are FUCKING HUGE.
these oceanic critters can be up to five feet long, and weigh in at over 70 pounds! THAT'S LARGER THAN A HUMAN FIRST GRADER.
kiss him on the nose and send him to school with an apple, jesus.
this actually makes sea otters one of the largest members of the mustelid family, second ONLY to the giant otter of the amazon river.
SECOND PLACE IS FINE, SECOND PLACE IS FINE.
now you may be saying to yourself in a sarcastic and derisive tone "that's all well and good, bunjy, but they asked for a BLESSED fact." which is not untrue! but to which I counter:
more otter to squee over.
thank you, that is all.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled selection of depressing news stories and dismaying tweets to bring you the most amazing thing that happened on the internet today.
The amount of cute animals you are about to see is almost unhealthy. Almost.

Zoos and aquariums across the nation participated in a very important #CuteAnimalTweetOff today. And the winner of the tweet off is everyone. Every single person alive.
It all started when Smithsonian’s National Zoo released a press release announcing the birth of the most adorable baby grey seal in the world.
We welcomed a gray seal pup Jan. 21. The pup appears to be nursing, moving & bonding well w/ mom. https://t.co/l0Bzu7g8ek #Squee http://pic.twitter.com/nEhuJe6vBk

Sarah Hill, who lives in Virginia, saw the press release and tweeted a taunt at the Virginia Aquarium.

Upon seeing this epic struggle of baby animal portions, zoos and aquariums across the nation joined in, tweeting out achingly cute photos of their animal friends. What started as a simple little cute-off became a national cute-off, and we are not complaining.
