I was reading about your HCs for the reproduction of the Godzilla species and it's very interesting for parthenogenesis. But does this mean they also work like lions? Example if theoretically Godzilla were to produce an egg and Ghidorah destroys it, would it put Godzilla into another reproduction cycle?

not necessarily, at least that's not what i'd personally envision for em 0: i think they're quite doting parents so losing a clutch or pups would be very distressing, so it would be a while before they'd opt into creating a new clutch sorta thing

i do think they'd be capable of errrrrrrr 'storage' aka they can hold off on fertilizing their embryos until the conditions are right. but even after losing a clutch they could probably create a new one from the same Stored Goods without breeding again or creating a partho clutch. so if a gojiran lost their bondmate & clutch they could very well lay a few new clutches that are still their bondmate's offspring as well.

i know some reptiles are capable of this, i used to breed snakes and people posted somewhat frequently about females dropping babies that genetically were clearly from a male they'd been bred to like, 3 years previously x) so i think it's a neat idea to play with
