Forever musing over the fact people focus on how impossibly dark Mortem's eyes are. And I make sure to mention it. That her irises are the color of the space between stars, even when they reflect like an animal's no pupil can be glimpsed.

But then Mortem is always thinking that if her eyes are the color of the space between stars, her mother's eyes were of color of space untouched and unseen. The abyss wishes it could have possessed such depth.
