✨ LOS ANGELES ✨
So many of Los Angeles's midcentury motels are gone. Replaced by new developments and parking lots, which doesn't make for a good comparison view.
Some of the motels still left - like the Hollywood Center Motel - have just been sitting there, closed and stuck in time. Others - like the former Holiday Lodge Motel or Hallmark Motel - have been renamed, renovated and continue to operate under different names. The Sky Terrace now rents its rooms as apartments and Sunset Palms is used as shelter for those experiencing homelessness.
