What a hilarious start to the day. Looking through this book I couldn’t help but chuckle. Every time I’ve read it so far it’s made me laugh. Believe it or not I hadn’t heard of this series until the end of term where a TA at my school showed me this book. I loved it so much she said I must take it home with me. * It follows the story of a pigeon who’s dream it is to drive a bus - well we can all see the issue here. He talks to you, the reader, trying to persuade you to let him drive the bus whilst the bus driver is away. Would you or your little one give in? An interesting conversation to have with your child about right and wrong emotions and maybe even peer pressure! * What I love about this book is it’s simplicity - especially in the illustrations. The pigeon’s face is so expressive and I really feel like I know and understand this little guy and how he’s feeling. You could definitely delve into various more unusual emotions like the feeling of frustration.
